Well done!!!
He obviously knows they game, he can teach XOs, we have learned he can recruit. Only thing left is to see if he can managed a game.
GO WOJO's WARRIORS!!

Big Daddy speaks!
-
Hmmm... I count 4 with Noskowiak, Heldt, now Cheatham. Does BigDaddy know something about Ellenson we don't. If so, do tell!!
-
Man, Ellenson would make this class perhaps the best in MU history. Way to go, Wojo!
-
Maybe he's added in Stone, aina?

Why can you not give up the ghost?

In a way, I almost like that MU has lower expectations this season. It'll be good to see Wojo's in game adjustments and his offensive/defensive strategies, and watch the program develop. 2015-16 should be fun. Enjoy the slow burn to get there.

So Ellenson is a #donedeal?

So Ellenson is a #donedeal?
Yes. Absolutely. Book it, ship it.
And if it turns out otherwise, I never said the above. ;)

If Wojo gets Henry, as we all hope for, the '15-'16 roster would potentially include 9 (current or past) ESPN100 recruits ( 8 4-star and one 5-star). Wow!! I'm giddy just thinking about the group of talent MU is assembling.
(Actually, just corrected post to reflect 9 vs. 8 and have inserted the names and ratings below:)
Steve Taylor - 4 star
Duane Wilson - 4 star
Deonte Burton - 4 star
JaJuan Johnson - 4 star
Luke Fischer - 4 star
Sandy Cohen - 4 star
Nick Noskowiak - 4 star
Haanif Cheatham - 4 star
Henry Ellenson - 5 star (fingers crossed)
-
Wojo has yet to coach a game...but he's already had an incredibly positive impact in his first few months as coach. Lots of great vibes from the players at the BBQ, keeping everyone except Mayo on the current roster, keeping Sandy committed and adding two solid transfers, keeping Nick committed and adding Matt and now Haanif...and giving us a solid chance to land Henry.
Plenty of reason to be optimistic!

I think numerous have forgotten Gabe Levin, who in one year of Div I ball, averaged 11 and 7 at LMU and Wally Ellenson.

I didn't forget about Levin and Wally and not that they are not going to be potentially great additions to the team, however, Gabe Levin was a ESPN 2-star recruit coming out of H.S. and Wally Ellenson was a 3-star. Also, I realize that not all 4 and 5-star recruits pan out, but I simply wanted to call out the potential group of talent we will have in a couple years.

Heldt's stock is rising. I would not be surprised to see him as a 4 star consensus top 100 player by the finish of the year..

Agreed. Just would make a great situation even better. At least Wojo will have a great group of talent to work with in his first job as head coach. Then it will be up to him to show everyone his ability to coach successfully after being under Coach K all those years. I, as all of us, will be excited to see what he can do.

I'm sure he's talking about Looney leaving UCLA to come to Marquette.

Gabe wasn't used correctly in HS our high school coach focused on developing our PG instead of gabe that's why he was ranked so low.

He is already #94 on 247 composite which is basically an average

Could BigDaddy clarify the "4 top 100"?
Obviously I know what I want it to mean but I'd love to hear it from the man himself.
And real optimistic about the latest news: Haanif committing and all the positive buzz around Henry (both developments pretty much going just as my manager buddy had been saying......may not want to burn that bridge).
The table is set, come on down, Henry.
