I don’t understand the thought process, having Kolek take the ball out, and a screener near him on the inbounds. You have such limited time to get the ball to half court. You take your fast ball handler out of the play and waste a player as a screener, basically almost playing 3 on 5 there. And they did it twice on a row!

Wisconsin was shooting out of their mind the first half.
We fought back into it.
Every game we played we could win.
Lots of season left.
Would have been great to beat Wisky and have bragging rights, but too much BB left to cry.

Totally inexplicable to me DD.

At 3.5 inbounds to half court. Call a TO. With 2.0 or so, maybe a decent run off a screen for Joplin or Kam.
Oso? Love him. But work on a 12’ face-up J. Would be just unstoppable. TK? Love the drives, but more touch off the glass.
Bright future, but losing to RED blows. Please beat Notre Dame!

It blows my mind how we can lose when we have better athletes and a better coach.

The best passer should inbound the ball.

This.   And the lack of rebounding ability is an ongoing issue and looks like that’s the way Shaka plays it.   Man that is a lot of points given up on rebounds.   Ugh.

Onto the next game

Shaka admitted on the post game that they haven’t really spent time with that situation. My complaint with it is it didn’t seem like they were planning on using that last TO like you mentioned. I thought that was the obvious thing to do.

I'm ok if TK wants to pass first, second, third, ......

Layups, not so good
Jump shot, not so good
3-pointers, not so good
Free Throws, good.

Huge problem at the end of games though. Limits options. Defenders can sag off.  You know, Derrick Wilson stuff.

Are you seriously suggesting that defenses are going to sag off a guy who (right now) is shooting 40% from three????

Kolek's problem at times is over dribbling and... unfortunate passes.

Not taking big shots renders him useless in end of game situations against good teams.  I want him to take those shots.  I think he will be the biggest reason we get over the hump in these types of games by the end of the season.

They sagged off him last year.  They will do it again if he is reluctant to take those shots.

Take them Tyler!   You are theoretically a better shooter in practice than Omax or Stevie.  If Kam or Jop is open next to you, pass it!

True. Maybe someone else will step up to upgrade the PG position.
Does Travis have any eligibility left?

UW pushed their defense out because his issues are when he drives, not when he shoots. Defenses aren't going to sag off Kolek.

He just needs to be an option to shoot when he is open, especially at the end of games.  Otherwise there is only one starter on the floor who can shoot.  Not good.  I want to see more games like Tyler had in the second half against MSU.  The Tyler we’ve been hearing about all offseason in practice.

That Tyler shows up at the end of games, MU is in business.  Can’t be afraid to shoot.  Had the look tonight at the end of the game and let two other lesser shooters take it.

I’d prefer Oso works on his free throw shooting before he works on a mid range jumper.

If TK could develop a floater shot, he'd be awesome. He clearly can get to the lane, just can't finish or find great options other than pass to the top of the key.

Shooter is right.  He was reluctant to shoot and Mitchell is always hesitant.  That top of the key three no one was within 6 feet of him and he did not shoot it off the catch with any confidence whatsoever..  And if you're touting TyKo's 3pt percentage than why did he take so few of them and a total of 6 shots.?  We cannot have two of our three guards on the floor, in the clutch, terrified to shoot the ball.

I think Tyler is the guy on the roster.  He just has to be willing to take big shots for MU to be really good in end game situations.

My lord.

He's not "terrified" to shoot the ball.

He took one three Fluffy.  6 freaking shots?  He has to be a scoring option especially with Mitchell on the floor.
