Because there is a disparity in FTs, it doesn't immediately or always equate to the refs being biased.
Were we fouled on numerous occasions that weren't called?  I didn't see that.  We are an open look jump shooting team.
The Badgers are professional floppers who know how to entice the ref's whistle.  They practice it at length.  Davidson is a master of it already.
Because they shot 10 to our 1 in the first half doesn't in and of itself necessarily mean that the refs are biased.  It means that they drew more fouls--in their case by flopping, and getting the calls.
By stating this disparity, you are implying that one can judge good or fair reffing based upon the equality of FT attempts.
'If we shot 10 and so did the Badgers, well then the refs were fair.'
I'm surprised when people take this approach.

That last home game against Mich. St......

If Mich. St. has anything to play for.....(like a #1 seed in the NCAA's)

They are going to put a 50 spot on the Badgers.....

I hope not.....Because I want Gard around for as long as possible.....

Losing by 50 at home would pretty much have the "bus" arrive in Madison......

Interior scoring teams like UW are always going to get more calls than jump shooting teams like MU.

Yup. When you are a three point shooting team, you will almost always get to the line less. Pretty obvious.

To criticize the refs in this game is inexcusable. The ONLY blatantly bad call in the entire game was Howard's third foul - when the UW player clearly slid under him on the drive.

I agree with you, but I don't know about inexcusable, fans are fans.  Your last statement is very correct.  That was the only call I thought was egregious.

Yeah, you are right. I always expect at least a few bad calls - but as long as they don't obviously favor one team over another, I try not to let them bother me. I have reffed basketball - it is not easy.
