Even if it was not well-officiated there were a lot of bad foul calls on DePaul too. What a terrible loss. This is the least forgivable road loss. Period.

It is difficult to win when Markus has an off night.

Every game in the Big East is a battle.  Some times they don't go your way.

If DePaul shoots their regular FT% we win easily.

Yup, it’s the best conference in the country from top to bottom. There are absolutely NO easy wins in this league.

When I look at paint touches, o-efficiency, SOS against Mountain West teams, NET rankings, and run it through my optimizer, Marquette is a "stone cold lock" for the tournament.

Especially hard to win on the road against the last place team missing their star player.

Who recruited the players missing open shots?

i like how we lose Markus, Jayce, and sacar. Three of our “best” starters. But everyone keeps saying we have a great class which is true but they’re all freshman. I’d take senior Howard, senior sac, and grad transfer Jayce over freshman dawson, freshman Lewis, and freshman osa. Common sense.

Editor Note 2: This thread is an attempt to short-circuit the Projo excuse making for an all too familiar late-season collapse.

As a coach you can only draw-up the game plan, the players have to execute.

The game plan is to let Markus dribble around for 15 seconds and chuck a shot.  There is no defense against that plan.

Rebuilds take time.  Just ask Kevin O'Neill.

Yea, but Kevin Willard wasn’t any better his first 6 years.

Coach K and Jay Wright sucked early in their careers. Just give it 6 more years!
