for some of you late 80's early 90's alum

Jigglesfest is back at the lake front September 20th.  That's one that takes me back.  The original at the dome's was as close to woodstock as I think I've ever been.

Ahhhh, jigglesfest. Best picture of me in the yearbook from the year I graduated is of me in a tie-dye, about 20 feet from the stage, totally jamming out at the domes.    Great day, great party, still remember some of it.  Tragically, today, jigglesfest takes on a whole different meaning with me, but thems the breaks.

Wow, remember that vividly.  Too funny.  Massive pasty white guys and girls trying to get some sun with plenty of beer around.  Too much fun.

I never made it to Jigglesfest .. but my wife is beyond thrilled it is back.  She's already planning to walk part of Als Run, then ditch mid-way, ditch our kids, and hit jiggles for the rest of the day.

Hi All,

I am organizing Jigglesfest with Jim Dier (bass player for R. Mutt) and I wanted to give you all of the Jiggles details so you can continue to spread the word.

As always, all events are free and open to the public.  All of the bands participating over the weekend are affiliated with Marquette and most musicians are Jiggles alums.

The main Jigglesfest event takes place at Bradford Beach (N. Lincoln Memorial Drive) from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, September 20, 2008.
Band Line Up
11:00AM - 11:50 AM Groovy Sparrow (has a few MU/Jiggles alums)
12:05PM - 1:00 PM Planet Dastardly (current MU student band)
1:15 PM - 2:10 PM Freezone (MU alums; Jiggles alum band)
2:25 PM - 3:20 PM Surrender Dorothy (Carney et al)  (MU alums; Jiggles alum band)
3:35 PM - 4:30 PM R. Mutt (MU alums; Jiggles alum band)
4:45 PM - 5:40 PM Surrender Dorothy (Boesch et al) (MU alums; Jiggles alum band)
5:55 PM - 6:50 PM The Nodes (current MU student band)
7:05 PM - 8:00 PM Southbound (has a few MU/Jiggles alums)

Friday, September 19th at 8:00, there will be a Pre-Jiggles Jam at Conway's Smokin' Pub & Grill (22nd & Wells).
Bands
Surrender Dorothy (both line ups)
Freezone
MCBO (MU alums; Jiggles alum band)
New Wave Bossa Nova (current MU student band)
Joe's Jiggles Jazz Combo (MU/Jiggles Alums)

Saturday night after Jigglesfest at Bradford Beach ~9:00 PM, there will be a Post-Jiggles Jam at the MU Sports Annex (16th & Wells) hosted by Marquette Radio WMUR.
Bands
Surrender Dorothy (both line ups)
Freezone
MCBO
Joe's Jiggles Jazz Combo

And for whomever was amazed to see Surrender Dorothy in the line up, we are actually still together.  We released a new CD last year and will be releasing another one at Jiggles.  Go to http://www.surrenderdorothyband.com/albums.html for details.  Also, there are two different line ups of Dorothy playing over the Jiggles weekend - One is: Dan "Ledge" Carney, Tim Heuer, Steve Jaracz, Kurt Urban, myself, Tom Huguelet and Dave Wolff.  The other is: Tommy Boesch, Kurt Urban, myself, J. Finnegan and Tom Connell.

See you all at Jiggles!

Wow, what memories!!  Those were the days!  My old age has set in, and I'm trying to remember the last name of my college roomates BF who was in a band.  His first name was Dave, and he dated Ellen.  If this is the same band, please let me know as I will try to figure out a way to watch.  I saw so many of your shows while in college!
