Good job everyone!
I'm not sure he'll win it, but at least "1/3 of the votes" are for him! ;)

He also deserves for his "fans" to know how to spell his name. D-O-M-I-N-I-C

He also deserves for his "fans" to know how to spell his name. D-O-M-I-N-I-C
And his fans deserve for him to pronounce his name properly: Dahm-ihn-ick.
-
Uh. Dom-in-neek. Why do you think they call him "neek"? Dom-in-neek
-
People still missing the teal concept!
-
Didn't notice. That's the 8 millionth reason not to use teal. Even guys who've been here since, literally, Day 1, do not notice teal.

It helps if you don't wear teal-colored glasses all the time.
-
Teal sucks. I have said this on numerous occasions...if you don't deliver your sarcastic comments well enough that most don't pick up on it, you deserve the criticism/embarrassment that comes long with it. Likewise, if you are unable to pick up on sarcasm due to a lack of teal, then you deserve the criticism/embarrassment that comes along with it.
No teal!

I absoulety, positively, hate teal!

I know that's how HE pronounces it, but Dominic is not pronounced the same as Dominique.
Teal has its uses. I thought this was one of them. I guess I was wrong.
-
Teal never has its uses.

Teal never has its uses.
Yes, it does.
I'm a SHARKS fan. :)
-
Where did the use of teal to denote sarcasm originate anyway? Is this something universal or just on this website? Just curious since I'd never seen it anywhere before.

I've spent a lot of time on a lot of forums and I've never seen it anywhere but here usually people use the /sarcasm flag or a smiley of some sort to denote sarcasm.
-
Please use lime green for sardonicism. Sarcasm is so yesterday.
-
Even though this is just a fan vote, it's a huge honor for Dominic.
Cousey was a great player... I love his play even though he spent all those years with the NY Knicks, who I hate, and went to college at a Lutheran school, which is certainly questionable.
-
This conversation reminds me of that Middle Eastern guy on Family Guy.
Ho ho! He said that it sure is nice outside when it's raining! Ho ho! That's funny!
Ho ho! He used teal when he said that, so that means it's not really that at all! Ho ho!
-

I don't understand your point. If he didn't use teal you wouldn't have know he was using sarcasim. He did and you didn't notice. Why is that a reason to not use it for those of us who do notice?
-
RawdogDX .. this is why. NRJ said it best:

Uh.....Bob Cousy played for the Boston Celtics his entire career except for one season six years after he retired when he came out of retirement to play for the Cincinnati Royals.
Fact-O

Oh sure, that make sense. (normally that would have been in teal)
So i can't respond like that why? Beacause it doesn't' make it clear enough that i'm being sarcastic, so instead of typing those 5 words and throwing on teal you want me to say:
OH! thanks for making that so clear, you are obviously a genius! What would we do without you?!?!
It saves 10's of missunderstandings a day. And causes about 1 a month which then brings out all the anti-teal people who say: 'SEE, SEE! That's why it should be gone.'

It's not just about the posters, as a reader i don't want to read:
Non-teal,
followed by someone responding like that person is crazy,
followed by "uh that was sarcasim",
followed by "if it was sarcasm it should have been more obvious,"
followed by "it was perfectly obvious to anyone with half a brain".
That is a freaking waste of my time, i don't care who was at fault.
You don't even notice when the font is in a different color, that makes me think you will spot non-teal sarcasm about as well as George can pick out raccoons without his glasses.
-
speaking of "freaking waste of my time"....I just read your post

Hey now, i wasn't the one who hi-jacked this. It was the anti-teals. The very loud, extreme minority.
But hey, way to come up clutch with the information about cousey's NBA carreer, i'll file that under: things i don't give a crap about.
-

Fact-O
Really?! He must have been one of the first two-sport athletes. I myself played basketball and baseball also, but only in high school. I love the Cincinnati Royals! Kauffman stadium is G O R G E O U S.
-
JayBee, you may be a multi-sport athlete, but you're obviously no history major. First, Kaufman stadium is in Kansas City, not Cincinnati. Second, the Cincinnati Royals were an NBA team which is now known as the Sacramento Kings.

I think there might be two f's in Kauffman Stadium, but I've been wrong before. You're right, though, it IS in Kansas City not Cincinnati. I always mix those two up since they are in very close proximity to one another. In fact, they share the same highway. Interesting tidbit for you guys: when the played eachother in the World Series in 1987, it was known as the I-70 Series!

Haha I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought of that!

There are too many inaccuracies in this statement to comment on, so I will just move on.

I guess I'll just have to send an e-mail to the Hartford telling them how once again that the financial services sector "cooked the books" to reach a foregone conclusion not shared by the voting public. What is most unfortunate is that the Hartford Companies' good name is associated with this "public be damned" sham.
