Gotta love sealing the outright championship with the domination of another team

Went to Butlers board. Like seeing what the opponents say.

Its basically a back up Marquette board. Boy do they love us.

Cool to see.

I met a bunch of Butler fans in Lexington in 2013, and they were some of the nicest opposing team fans I’ve interacted with  anywhere. Very complimentary of Marquette.

Very complimentary last night, as were the Purdue fans earlier. The ND fans were not…

Last night reminded me of when Nova came at the end of 2016, after Hank sprained his ankle. Just a total accepted beatdown.

Was at Hinkle during Buzz's last season. The fans could not have been nicer.

Had an awful experience with butler fans at the Maui Invitational (The Rotnei Clark buzzer beater game). Haven't liked them since. Admittedly never been to Hinkle

Hope you took a lot of pleasure imagining their faces on 03/23/13 of that same season. It’s interesting that one bad experience can change a fan’s perspective entirely on a team.

The fans I sat by were great.

That was before MU let them in the Big East.

Was in Lexington. After the comeback win against Davidson and our matchup with Butler was determined, we went out to a bar and there’s Homer by himself having a debate with a group of Butler fans. The Butler fans were telling Homer that they were on their way to being Duke and Brad Stevens was their Coach K. Homer was telling them Stevens wouldn’t be there for more than 2 more years.

Homer also called Jimmy Mac at our request and had him on speaker phone. Mac didn’t seem thrilled with the call.

Creighton fans were always the bane of my existence. Still hate Seton Hall as a program just because of Powell, Willard and Mamu but never had any run in with their fans.

Creighton fans are arrogant little sh!ts for a team that’s been to like two s16 in their history.

So are Butler fans going to boycott Milkshake Indy, now that the team got their victory shakes there?  ;D

Great Marquette crowd at the game. Great to meet some of you!

TKO was loving the energy.

Shaka is a treat. Deserves every accolade. Winning today was special and you could see it on his face.

Thst said,  no finish line

My buddy and I enjoyed having a beer with you and Mrs. Barnes, Jake.

We were a few sections over from you, behind the Butler bench. Between those sitting around us and those at Chatham Tap, at least a dozen Butler fans congratulated us on Marquette's behalf and several said they thought MU has a great chance to go to the Final Four.

So it was a great experience all around. That it came only a few days after several of our gang got together at the DePaul game made it all the more special.

This season is bringing old Warriors and Golden Eagles out of the woodwork, and that's cool. I'm sure enjoying the hell out of it!

Dutch, baby.

Actually, we had been there for about an hour and a half when the Barneses joined us, beers already in hand. It was great talking MU hoops with fellow Warrior Eagles.

It was great to have a beer and catch up! I'll be better at getting there earlier next time so we can have a few more (although the walk there helped me remedy the transgressions that occurred at St Elmo's upstairs bar the night prior and actually be able to have a beer in the first place).

What a fun game and fun team. It's always great to meet up with scoopers and see the excitement we all have for the team and direction of the program! Excited to head up again this weekend!

You aren’t kidding about their fans praising MU.

Here’s a direct quote from a post on their board:

“All I can say is congrats Marquette

You hit a freaking walk off game 7 world series grand slams with hiring Shaka.

They have to be over the moon.

And Shaka has to be so stoked to be out of Texas and there as well.”
