Tuned in at half but was dismayed by first half stats. But that second half was really encouraging - especially from Markus - I think it might be the best half of "team" basketball I've ever seen from him - he drew a lot of defenders and hit some big shots but didn't force anything. He really played within himself. I think the Markus of last year probably puts up 10 more shots in the same game - most of his drives into the trees he passed it back out - last year I think he tries to force something up.  If that keeps up all season I'm very optimistic about where we were going.

Koby's not Markus in terms of a scorer, but he has confidence and can get to the hole. I like him as a #2 option. Also really liked the confidence (and fire) from Elliot on his and 1.

As others have noted Theo has matured. I've always been a big Theo fan (I think I gave him an A- in his freshman year grade) but he really is the beast down low that would have taken some of Buzz's teams to the Final Four.

I think when Jayceeeee is back we have a really nice squad. Excited to see how far Wojo can take them.

Kinda makes one wonder WTF is up with the idiots posting about how bad Koby is in the game thread.  Some made negative comments , but they were just comments on a particular play, which everyone does.  Without naming names, here are some gems that either need to be retracted by the Scoopers who made them (you know who you are) or the Scoopers who  made them should get a one game suspension from posting on Scoop.

This board is insufferable the vast majority of the time.
But my fanaticism makes me dumb enough to continue spending time here.

Nailed it.

Loved the defensive effort by everybody, particularly Theo in the waning minutes as I was worried when Haarms came back in that they would feed the low post but he handled that expertly.
I was struck by how much MH seemed to lay in the weeds as a decoy instead of his usual hard work to get free of his man. That seemed to be designed to let KM maneuver late in the second half.

Ain't that the truth.

Discussions about basketball are great. Discussions about discussions are not.
