Title: Good Deals
Post by: Jay Bee on February 27, 2020, 06:38:26 PM
I need more good deals.

Signed up for Panera's all-you-can-drink coffee.. $8.99/month. It helps that there is one a block and a half from my house, but for that price.. even if I had to drive it would be a solid deal. I've done monthly tumbler deals at Caribou before for $40.. there are more of them around, but you had to lug a big tumbler around and pay a lot more... very pleased with Panera's offering.

Also.. Tik Tok. It's free. Amazing content. I mostly watch Addison and Charli videos, but I may branch out since the price is right. Thanks, Tik Tok.

Any other deals I need to get on?

Tik Tok has a price bro. A non-monetary price for sure.

And now the ChiComms know your tik tok preferences.

You should ask your concierge, eyna?

Yeah. Move out of your parents’ basement.

There’s a huge amount to see in this world (no Jay Bee).

I bought a $20/month subscription to a carwash this winter.    Love having a clean car after any snow fall.

I just did this when I got a new work car last month. I’m going 5 to 6 days a week. Nothing like pulling through the VIP line and laughing at the suckers waiting.

I noticed that a couple weeks ago when I was there with my wife. That's a fantastic deal. If there was one more conveniently located, I'd be all over that. Even for a once-a-week Saturday morning coffee with my wife, it's almost worth it. The one nearest our house is a really nice place to just go sit for an hour or two, chat and drink coffee.

The broccoli cheddar soup at Panera is good.  That's about it.

Unlimited washes here, too ($25/mo).  Although I don't have a VIP line, there's usually nobody in line during my usual time.

What's your record for washes in one day?  Mine's three.

In a sourdough breadbowl, its amazing.

Agree the rest of the food is pretty mediocre. But I get that soup pretty regularly.

Does the name of this car wash sound a little like a local custard stand frequented by a former baseball commissioner?

The Sanka my mom drank years ago >>>>>>>> Panera coffee.

$8.99 is a good deal only if you're looking for something warm to hold when you're walking around in the cold.

My car has been washed once this winter. I took it in for an oil change and they must've washed it before they could get the techs to touch it....

That's me too.  Once a year whether it needs it or not.

When I am looking for a good deal I head down to my local Walmart. The bargains there are deplorably good. Great even.

Agree on the unlimited car wash - can be a great deal and I DID IT a few years ago when I drove a lot. Nowadays, I only drive ~2x / week so far less important.

Panera coffee isn’t good, but it’s better than what I have at then office, better than k-cups at home, plus lotsa hotties chillin at the downtown one. For $8.99/mo the price is right.

I need a deal on Hulu

Ya mean your buildings parking lot doesn't have an attendant who goes around and hand-washes the cars every night? What kinda crap place you living in?  ;)

And for Hulu, we get a free subscription through our Verizon contract. When I first got the text about it, I assumed it would be some limited trial followed by a push for paying subscribers...but we've had it for over a year without paying an extra dime.
