I believe G-Town is on a quarter system and they are on break (finished last week).

Monmouth has beaten UCLA, Notre Dame and USC.  They are leading big against G-Town late the second half (up 12 with 12 to play).

Does any other school have more "marquee name" wins than Monmouth?
MSU, Xavier, Duke, KU?

Update, Monmouth up by 15 with 7 to play.  Oh, game at G-Town.

They just said Monmouth is 0-30 lifetime against the Big East (including 0-2 against Georgetown).

Ummm, yeah.

BTW, where are all the GTown sweatervests?  How come there's no energy in the Verizon Center? Students suck these days.  I wonder who's announcing their transfer out after the game?  Blah, blah, blah.
you're ignoring the elephant in the room.  Verizon has HORRIBLE sight lines, primarily because of the Capitals.

I'm still not sure if they're The Real Deal(tm), but Georgetown's defense isn't playing very well.

Don't know if Monmouth is the real deal, but at 6-4, I'm not at all convinced the Hoyas are the real deal.

They do have an impressive resume thus far. The loss to Canisius is questionable, but that is a road conference game. Their two non-con losses (USC & Dayton) both look like tourney teams, and they were able to avenge the road loss to USC on a neutral court.

I ran RPIWizard and dropped the Belmont and Iowa losses, instead giving us the same two losses (USC road, Dayton neutral). I also dropped our last three cupcakes (Grambling, SJSU, Maine) and replaced them with the Notre Dame, UCLA, and USC wins that Monmouth earned. To offset the Canisius loss, I gave us a road loss to DePaul.

With a 10-8 conference record and 21-10 overall, we would have a RPI of 25 and SOS of 37. Going with our own schedule, we would have a RPI of 64 and SOS of 100. It certainly does look convincing.

Streaky team. Looked real good in tough losses at MD and neutral to Duke. And they controlled Wisco handily. But also have 2 mid major losses with one being Radford.

They are not the real deal.

...not far from making the tourney, but NIT it is for Monmouth. Would welcome us playing them.
Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.

Glad I don't have to hear more about their bench than the actual game itself in the NCAA Tournament.

To me, if you have a very tough decision between a mid-major and a major, you shouild take the nid-major, who have so many built-in disadvantages.
