I am still at where I was at the beginning of the season. I felt our experienced players would do well and one Freshman would emerge. I believed that our team could challenge for that 3rd spot in the Big East after Nova and U Conn.
The Greg Suspension was unexpected, but also the emergence of a couple of Freshman was unexpected. So the two kind of evened out from my perspective.
The positive performance in Non Conference , so far, is proof of concept that we can compete in The Big East and get to the 10 or 11 win mark in conference.
The Bonnies game was similar to a Big East road game, with all their fans there. We will get true road games at The Badgers and Kansas State , that should also help build the team. UCLA will be like a final exam for the Non Conference. I am very much into Shaka's approach to coaching this team. I am confident he will continue to identify strengths and eliminate weaknesses.
