First Game at New Arena?
« on: August 21, 2017, 02:01:17 PM »
Who do you think we will have as our first game at the new Bucks arena?  DePaul was able to get Notre Dame for its first game this year at Wintrust.

Personally, I would love any of the following programs to come in and play:

Indiana
Louisville
Michigan State
Notre Dame

My top choice would be Louisville, followed by Notre Dame.  Indiana/MSU would be solid as well.

How very Depaul to schedule a loss in their first game in the new arena. Not only a loss, but a loss where 90% of the fans in the building will be cheering for their opponent!

They wouldn't have it any other way.

It's just a guess, but I really don't think it ends up being a cupcake.  I think it will be a top-notch opponent to get a sell out the first game (not to mention potential for defining win).

This. We should be pretty darn good that year and that means we start the year and arena off with a statement

Do you want to make the Bucks owners hate Wisconsin even more?

I'd love to see Notre Dame as the first game.

Or, more likely, Incarnate Word.

I'd like Incarnate Word on the schedule. Not for the first game, but they've been a fairly solid program since making the jump to D1.
