Beatin' the Catholic Schools
« on: February 02, 2009, 01:06:15 PM »
In the Midwest, particularly Chicago where I am from, when you think of Catholic colleges you think of Notre Dame first and then Marquette and DePaul.  Plus, G-town is possibly the most prestigious Catholic school in the country.  It's great to have the three Catholic schools scheduled right in a row, and takin care of business against them.

ND and G-town have some cocky alums so its really nice to beat them.  Those are two great schools and people have the right to be proud, but so do we have the right to be proud of Marquette.  I hope we take care of Depaul and wish we could play Boston College next.

Don't forget we have another match up with nova, at their place where they currently have a 25 game win streak.

well, the Big East is 8 Catholic schools and 8 non-Catholic (duhhh, old news)

if you look at the schedule, beginning with Providence and going all the way to G'town on Feb 21st, we have a 9-game streak against Catholic schools, interrupted only by USF.

   Sat, Jan 17     at Providence
    Sat, Jan 24    DePaul
Mon, Jan 26    at (19) Notre Dame
    Sat, Jan 31    (25) Georgetown
    Tue, Feb 3       at DePaul
Fri, Feb 6      at South Florida
Tue, Feb 10    at (21) Villanova
    Sat, Feb 14    St. John's
    Tue, Feb 17    Seton Hall
Sat, Feb 21    at (25) Georgetown
