Let the nickname bashing begin!  :)

(Everybody remember your list of potential targets: liberal professors, DiIulio, board of trustees, TC, media, Native American tribal leaders, fake voting in '94, 2004 survey results, Tall Titan, Dwyane Wade laughing about it, "gold", Zizzo group, "tribal imagery")

They should market Golden Eagle toilet paper. I would buy that.

I'm still holding out hope for a Dan Fitzgerald Fathead.  The picture could be of him passing the ball into the 3rd row.

No, no, no. It would be of him committing a lazy foul under the basket to set up a three point play.

I wish I got a commission for that!  We could call it the "Help muwarrior87 get a job after school fund". They are using my likeness on wall clings without sharing the wealth...although if no GE apparel ever sold again I would not object. It's hard having a split personality when it comes the the mascot...I hate it, but I was it. Does that mean I hated myself?? hmm...GO WARRIORS!!

The Golden Eagle wears a neutral sport jersey.

Don'tcha think he could slip on a current BBall jersey for game days and BBall appearances?
The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.

Personally, I'd like to see him in a Warriors Forever t-shirt. I'll never forget, when the nickname debate was still open and going on, when I taped a "Let's Go Warriors" sign to the back of the bird. Guy in there didn't notice, and ran around with it for about 5 minutes!

Anyways, realistically, why not buy several jerseys for him to wear? B-Ball for those games, Soccer for the soccer games, etc...

Only if you want the eagle in spandex for the volleyball games.

But yes the eagle does need a new jersey.

The jerseys are quite pricey when bought from the mascot distributor. around 1k for each. Unbelievably expensive. We tried getting them to buy an XL jersey from the spirit shop for it but that got shot down for some reason.

I'm having trouble recalling correctly, but I remember it being a pain getting that jersey on after the suit was washed once a year.

There was a certain Eagle that sweated Jimmy John's VITO.

Wait, if I read that post correctly, the jersey that the golden eagle wears now was 1,000 dollars?  If so, that is the biggest rip off i have ever seen.

I don't understand why he cant just slip on one from the spirit shop, I own a Jerel one from last year (or should I say J-May one from this year) and it is plenty big in my opinion to slip on over the mascot.

I understand the neutral sport idea, but honestly for Men's BBall games he should have our current one.  Especially for Big East Tourney and NCAA Tourney.

The $1000 jersey was also coming from a former Bucky the Badger.  You may remember him as the one who got owned by the MSU cheerleader!

I always thought a gold 81 jersey would be good for the eagle.

I know it'll never happen... but how sweet would it be if they had a throwback bball uni for the mascot.

The Eagle in a bumblebee jersey could make it remotely tolerable.
