In fact, MU should make a stand and wear peace-inspired uniforms. No need for more warmongering.

Hopefully not.  When Navy guys throw missiles at you from the stands, they don't miss.  (unlike drunk UWV fans)   ::)

You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

ROFLCOPTER.... there's your Hiroshima people.

As Ashton Kutcher would say: "You just got punk'd."

EDIT--- In other words, some thought MU was Hiroshima, when MU has been Enola Gay all along.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

So I believe Buzz has taken a tumble each and every season.  What is the over/under percentage he doesn't have his sea legs and falls sometime during the broadcast?   ;D

I wonder what color scheme MU would get for the camo uniforms?  I might lean towards gold to differentiate from UNC last year.

Yuck. I hope there are no camo uniforms. In fact, MU should make a stand and wear peace-inspired uniforms. No need for more warmongering.

I don't see how camo=warmongering. Seems to me more of gesture of solidarity with those men and women in uniform. Maybe instead of actually playing the game both teams could hold hands and sing Kumbayah at center court, or even better the left side of the court.....

If this happens, I'll guarantee the camo jerseys.

Give me a navy blue base with flecks of gold and baby blue.

I was thinking this too.  tOSU with gray camos and we can rock the navy/valour blue camos.  It would look pretty sweet.

I thought only blue bloods got this type of a game!

Now that I have fed the trolls.  This is awesome.  The fact that we are involved in this discussion for such a prime time, high-profile event is a great thing for the university and the basketball program.  Paging Diamond Stone...

With the family I took a daytrip there from Myrtle Beach.  It's very hot & humid in August.  They have a nice air conditioned bus tour that stops at the well know locations.  I recall an outdoor market.  I imagine November to be much nice weather.

I once spent an entire fall in SC for work.   Imagine a perfect summer day in Wisconsin from late September through early December.

Would be a great idea for the exposure and a very tough non-con game.  And I'd be able to make the drive,  but how difficult would it be to get tickets to something like this?

I know last year there were no tickets sold to the public for the MSU-UNC game, and that people who DID receive tickets were not allowed to scalp them. I assume this will be a very tough ticket to obtain.

And Marquette was the team that was going to be in the game no matter what. It was going to be either Marquette vs. OSU or Marquette vs. Kansas.

Is there a reason why? Was Marquette pushing to be part of it harder than other schools? This is awesome news, I'm just surprised we would be targeted/chosen.

As far as the loaded non-con goes, I say bring it on. I’d be happy to adopt the Tom Izzo plan of loading the early part of the sched with every big name team you can get. Last year they played UNC, Duke and Gonzaga on the road, lost 2 of 3, and still got a #1 seed. The national exposure and tough games should prep the team well for the Big East and pay off at the end of the year when they start breaking down SOS etc…

Please, please let this happen. As an Ohio native, I would like nothing more than to shove a Marquette victory in the face of every Tressel Meyer-loving, Pryor-defending, Maurice Clarett jersey-wearing, pretentious Suckeye fan that I can find.

As an Ohio native AND a pretentious Urban Meyer-loving, lifelong Suckeye fan... I'd also LOVE an MU victory to throw at all of my other pretentious Urban Meyer-loving Suckeye fan friends' faces ;).

We could go with throwbacks and wear the Doc Rivers era jersey with the camo on the sides.

I dig this idea. That would be sweet.
