Wasn't D Wade viewed as a risky recruit also?  You just never know.  I would rather roll the dice then play it safe as long as you cut your losses early.

Thanks for posting that, I just caught the last 15 minutes of it. So proud to say he is from Marquette. If anyone hears of a replay of it, please post the info!

Show was great except for Crean's mug occupying a front row seat.

Crean is a horrible coach.  I was ecstatic when he left.  The way he left also says something about his loyalty and his character.  I don't need to rehash this topic, it's been beaten dead.

Yeah, doesn't Wade know that TC is an arrogant ahole and an awful coach?  I mean someone should tell Dwyane that TC had nothing to do with his going from partial qualifier to NBA superstar over a 5 year period.

Not really.

He was a prop 48 case (since ended by the NCAA) so the risk involved was tying up a scholarship on a kid who wouldn't play for a season.

By all accounts, schools knew Wade was a good kid and not one of questionable character. And he was not even in the same zip code as Maymon on the "risky" map.

There was certainly a risk that he wouldn't cut it academically which was also the main concern with Maymon.  It also is worth noting that Maymon was more highly rated by most people coming out of HS than DWade.

I'm shocked to hear that this aired already.  I was at the show taping and they said it was going to be aired in the Spring... hopefully they'll air it again soon.

i recorded it and just watched it myself. what an absolute joy dwade is as a PERSON. just a classy dude, who had a crappy upbringing, yet is so humble, and says he wouldn't change a thing about his childhood. i hope both jeronne and TIM maymon watched that tonight, and said to themselves, maybe we should act this way. thanks for all that you did for MU dwade, and what you continue to do!

Yes it has....I just hope the next guy we have lasts 9 years....that's plenty loyal in this day and age in college basketball.

The worst part of the show was Rick Reilly. I cannot fathom how anybody finds him even the least bit amusing.

If you liked his earlier work, don't worry, all he does is take old columns and rewrite them for ESPN
