Binged the 4 episodes that are already available of Under the Bridge on Hulu.  Think it's pretty good and will watch the last 4 as they come out.

Literally everyone was roasting everyone.

Brady came off as a bit of a hardo there (well, more so than usual anyhow), but I get the desire to protect the old man.
That said, it was a pretty tame, entirely predictabke joke. The Aaron Hernandez jokes, on the other hand, I was not expecting.

Disappointing, but not surprising. Who knows the lengths Drew went to to secure this commitment.

Probably offered to pray with him.

Does Three Body Problem get better as it goes on? I couldn't even make it through the first ep because the whole thing seems to hinge on this gif

The book trilogy story was tremendous, though a bit of a slog to read because of Chinese translated to English.  Haven't started the series though.
I am guessing they've changed almost all of it for TV since it was a China-centric story.

Why? It was a roast of him, not of Kraft.

Literally everyone was roasting everyone.

Related to Seton Hall Bediako?

Yes. He (Jaden) is her older brother. Her other brother Charles played at Alabama.

Just wanna voice appreciation for a really good conversation here with lots of thoughtful posts.

My take on the celibacy issue is that it is not a direct link to pedophilia, but it creates a self-selection problem in the priesthood.  The vow of celibacy creates, from day one, a preoccupation with and unrealistic expectation of spurning one's sexual predilictions.  That makes it a potential solution for all kinds of men who are otherwise sexually isolated, confused, and/or ashamed.  The priesthood throws all of those men together in a culture of secrecy and shame without any psychiatric or practical support and then inserts them into positions of absolute trust in schools and communities.  If I were TRYING to create an environment of sexual abuse and betrayal of trust, I don't know if I could design it better.

Removing the vow of celibacy is a step toward creating a more healthy conversation around sexuality in the clergy.  IMHO it would also help lead to women in higher positions of church authority, which is also a must to help solve this problem.

The sex drive in all humans is powerful. Celibacy for the healthy is unrealistic and serves no greater purpose. If “sex” is the sin a whole lot of the clergy is guilty, not just the ones preying on young boys and girls. It just confuses the issue.

You might be right, Hards, and I mean that sincerely. Bibi and his crew have been dishonest and half-cocked, and it's why so many Israelis, including my brother and sister-in-law, have lost trust in him as a leader. So what you say here certainly could be true.

Then again, Hamas desperately wants a ceasefire. They don't want to return hostages. They don't want to pay the price for their terrorist actions on Oct. 7 - and every other day of the calendar. They feel no remorse for what they did, and they'd gladly do it again. They don't even care about Palestinians, and they obviously still want to wipe Israel off the face of the earth. And they don't want to negotiate in good faith.

But yes, they would love more than a ceasefire. When one side - which most of the civilized world considers a terrorist organization - wants a ceasefire so it can reload and prepare for their next terrorist act, it makes a mockery of the whole idea of a ceasefire.

This is why this thing is a quagmire, with few - if any - good answers. And it's been that way in the region for generations.

Is agreeing to a ceasefire to address the below going to help negate the further growth and recruitment of radicalized people? Probably! But as you said, Bibi doesn't have much interest in that.

Should probably use the term "spouse" here. About a third of Evangelical Lutheran pastors are women.

And the demands of a "first spouse" are not what they used to be. Almost all of them work outside the home.

I think you're correct. Too bad at least a third of our clergy isn't women!
