Quick update heading into this weekend re: 2018's (and 2020 Jalen Suggs) performances this spring.. some are my #'s, some thanks to Open Look Analytics (openlookanalytics.com) - any coaches reading this should subscribe.

A lot of blah performances, some very good ones.

Joey Hauser - Iowa Barnstormers - adidas - ridiculous numbers in a couple games before concussion

Race Thompson - D1 Minnesota - adidas - 117 ORtg, 24% usage. Matthew Hurt will eventually be back from hand injury; will be interesting to see his play with Hurt

Khavon Moore - Atlanta Xpress - UAA - struggling mightily. Sub-70 ORtg, 28% usage; 32.6% eFG%; thirty-noine percent on 2's; 2/23 on triples; high TO%

Torrence Watson - Ramey Jets - adidas - 90 & 27%. eFG% down at 40.0%. 7% & 11% OR% & DR%

Jarvis Thomas - Howard Pulley - EYBL - 103.8 ORtg; 19.0% usage; 65.2% eFG%; 10.5% OR%; 17.5% DR%; unique player

Quentin Grimes - Basketball U - adidas - 90 ORtg; 24% usage; 32.1% eFG%; 21% asst; 16% to; but only 3 games played; had 2 awful games and 1 great one. Don't pay too much attention to these #'s.

Jeenathan Williams - The City Rocks - EYBL - 114 & 26%; ridiculous 68.5% eFG%; little rebounding #'s (5% & 8%) and 21.5% turnovers.

Jaedon LeDee - Texas PRO - adidas - 95 & 32%; 39.0% eFG%; 15% & 15% rebounding; 86% FTRate (66.7% makes when there no matta)

Montez Mathis - Team BBC - adidas - 106 & 35.5%; 50.0% eFG%; 6% & 12.5% rebounding; 4.2% stl; getting to the line a lot.. I like it.

Noah Locke - Team Melo - EYBL - 127 & 27%; 61.noine% eFG%; 14.5% ast; sub-10% to%; >50% of attempts are treys; 28/60 3FG for 46.7%

2020 Jalen Suggs - Grassroots Sizzle - UAA - 99 & 33%; 47.0% eFG%; 18% DR%; 15% ast; 21% to%; 5.4% stl; 48.5% 2FG; 30.0% 3FG; 55% FTRate
Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.

Always appreciate your work JB. Noah Locke stands out to me as a potential riser in the rankings. Undervalued at this point, I think this is one to watch. I've seen him listed as a PG, SG, and combo guard. JB, have you watched Locke yet? Would love to read your analysis of his game.

Another concussion for Joey?
How many is that now, 3?  This is becoming a real concern.

I think JB was referring to the concussion a couple weeks back, which I believe was #2. Maybe he can clarify.

Beautiful!
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

This past weekend I was up in the Stevens Point area, and all the non-graduate Rodent fans are so convinced that Joey is going to end up at UW now that Anderson is there.  Which, fine, those two may be close and he could go there.

However, the real idiocy appears when they start talking about Sam also now transferring there. I had to quickly provide a refresher that there is no way MU would grant Sam his release and subsequent transfer to UW. I then got the pleasure of reminding them that Bo Ryan once blocked Uttoff from the entire ACC, only to get destroyed on the radio.

I think Joey ends up here. And I think there's a less than 1% chance of Sam transferring to UW. However, I'm not sure Wojo would do any better on the media if he blocked Sam from transferring to play with his brother. Well within his rights, but I don't think the optics would look good.

Your point is valid, although I think the optics of blocking one school + conferences foes is different than 2 1/2 conferences worth of teams.

I'm a pessimist at heart, so I don't think we land Joey, but that is based on nothing. I mean absolutely nothing.

Yeah Sam to UW....that made me laugh.  One of the larger obstacles  with UW for Joey was the complete ignoring of Sam.  Sam had a great year last year, loves the team, the program the school.  Markus and Sam are best friends.  They are so excited about what they can do together over the next few years.  Anderson going to UW was all about one thing.  Anderson deserved the opportunity and took it. His skill level was better than what some thought and he can play at a higher level than at UWGB.

Morrow was Wojo's cat, he wanted him and wanted him badly.  Thinks that he is a missing piece that the team doesn't really have right now, although Theo may be one of these guys too, a junk yard dog.  Rowsey has the attitude, but not the physical presence.  Morrow does and Theo does,  we have the offensive weapons, now we are adding some bangers and rim protectors.

We will know about Joey by the end of the summer.  I still say MU in strong position.

Going to UW to play with Trevor Anderson rather than going to MU to play with Markus Howard and your brother is like passing on a date with a supermodel to meet up with your gf from middle school.

I think Trevor Anderson, Sam Hauser, and Joey Hauser are all going to UW Stevens Point to play together.  There is about an 80% chance!

Pffffttt, come on guys.

If Joey goes to UW it is because of Herro and Davison, not because of a walk on Anderson.

Having said that MU is the leader of the pack, but MSU is scary, Virginia and UW still aren't out of the picture, and if Duke comes calling it could change things quite a bit...

I just wish Joey would make up his mind soon, so we can move on to pointless fretting over the next recruit Marquette could possibly lose out on.

Any additional news on 2018 recruits and who we should keep our eyes on in particular this summer/what number we could expect to see at MU?
