How does he not get used at the end of that game?

Didn't get that either. Toronto left a bullet in the chamber by not using him.

He hadn't played all game.  They would have brought him in cold.  That's not really an advantageous spot for a shooter, no matter how talented.  Unfortunately I don't think Toronto is a great spot for him.  He doesn't seem to fit with the scheme.

I agree, but he would be an effective decoy if nothing else. If Novak is on the wing and Lowry drives to his side, I don't think a help defender sags off of Steve.

Never really played consistently all year.

Meanwhile, Buycks wasn't even dressed for the game and only made 14 appearances for the Raptors this season.

Basketball arenas really need a bullpen type gym where shooters can warm up prior to coming in.  Granted, wouldn't be able to stop play.  Would add a nice bit of coaching complexity to the game planning.

Wow I can't believe I never thought of that. This would be amazing. Can you imagine how intimidating it would be during the whole tv timeout before the last possession to see Novak draining trey bomb after trey bomb in the 'pen?

Better start hitting up the NBA on twitter.  Silver seems to be creative enough to consider something like that.
