We will likely be 8-5 entering Conference play. 13-5 in conference is not going to happen, unless Buzz shakes the lineup, which he won't. Even if we finish 11-7, which right now is a stretch, 19-12 is not a dancing resume. We will have zero quality wins, unless we beat Villanova or Georgetown on their floor.

If you say so.

Ok look I have "walk on" status but some please explain how we make the tourney with an
RPI over 100, and 0 quality non-conference wins?

I think MU will make the tournament.

Maybe you're a genius. Maybe I'm an idiot.

Put your money up and find out.

Everything else is just talkin'

Buzz needs to stop worrying so much about his in-game wardrobe and learn to pull jake the snake Thomas out when he contributes nothing for 15 minutes

And without Mayo, who should play instead?  Jajuan?

JJJ should be getting every minute JT is getting. JT has no upside and hurts us on both sides of the ball.

Have you been paying attention to BE teams so far?

People need to wake up. Buzz is a great coach but this team has not, and will not, develop to a top 68 team. J. Wilson is too soft and we have no backcourt. We have a great core of younger players, but this just isn't our year. Our RPI is now over 120, our conference has no-one in the top 25. We won't win our conference or conference tournament. Please tell me where u see potential in this team?

If they could find a way to shoot the ball the way they did in the last 2 min for a whole game they'd be a lot better off. Instead they take their sweet ass time and try to find a way to feed the pirate (otule) down low. Which obviously doesn't work. JaJuan showed he's capable of taking the outside shot but their whole game plan is retarded. They're not a low post team

Yes and I think 11-7 is hardly a stretch.  Georgetown, Villanova, and Creighton are all very comparable to MU right now.

How'd this work out last year?

To be fair, we had a better team last year.  Maybe not better talent, but a better team.  Hopefully the return of Duane Wilson will be the difference.  For the record, this does not mean I think we are NIT bound, but with the conference not as good and the poor results in non-conference, the clock is ticking to right the ship.  Obviously the expectations by the pundits are not looking very strong.

Villanova is undefeated with wins over #2 Kansas and #23 Iowa.  I don't think anyone could reasonably argue they're a comparable team to us right now.

Perhaps we're more like Villanova two years ago.  So there will be better days.

We are at the bottom of the heap, except for DePaul, right now in overall BEast team records. We will see how that all shakes out. So for the record, you are predicting MU at better than 11-7 in conference?

I think this team gets to 22 wins in the regular season.

Clean up the title when you sober up.    MU is going to the big dance.   Don't make brewcity embarrass everybody with a bold prediction again.

That's what I was thinking.

Again... Our RPI is over 120 that's a bubble NIT team by the numbers. I'm not upset by it and I still have full trust in Buzz. This is just a down year becuase of the unexpected departures. But stop with all the crap about this team turning it around. When was the last time we had this many losses and 0 quality wins at this point in the season and still went dancing?

Relying on that precident could be dangerous.  That yeare we were able to offset the non-conference losses with quality conference wins against RPI #21 WVU (x2), #14 UConn and #18 Syracuse.

We also got a nice SOS bump from playing (albeit losing) to #9 Notre Dame twice, #10 Pitt, #13 Georgetown, another game against #14 UConn, 2 games against #17 Louisville, #36 Cincy and #38 Villanova.

Once confernce play started, we had 13 chances against top 50 opponents (11 of them top 25 opponents) to offset those four non-conference losses.

This year the only BE team currently in the top 50 RPI is #6 Villanova.
