Anybody else heading to the Kohl Center next week?
« on: November 26, 2011, 07:15:16 PM »
Just bought my ticket, in the student section with two others so far. Anybody else heading to Madison next weekend? Anyone else in the student section as well? We're wearing gold to stand out more.

We should possibly meet up at a bar in Madison before the game if anybody is interested. Thoughts?

I will be there in gold.  One of my dear friends is a UW season ticket holder and he has me come up every other year for this game.  We meet at a bar before and after.  Great times....

I'm going.  Don't have a ticket yet, but I'm definitely going.  My brother went to UW, so we have fun with the game every year.

Here's hoping some UW fans stay home to watch the Badgers in the football title game.  The fewer hostile fans in that gym the better chance we will have

I assume there will be quite a few making the trek to Indianapolis.  I know a few season ticket holders who will choose the title game over the basketball game.  I am guessing some tickets will open up.  Perhaps Tim Maymon will finally get the amount of tickets he desires for this game.

As for heading to Madison, if driving from Fitchburg qualifies, then I am.  Otherwise, there will be 5 of us, as usual, wearing gold.  We prefer the gold, as it stands out against the red.  You notice more MU fans that way.

to the MU/UW game? Now that the badgers are in the B10 championship game tickets should be easy to come by, so who's going?? I'll be in the student section (god help me)..

I'd like to go. Now that the football team is playing, I have heard cheap tickets shouldn't be all that hard to come by....where is a good place to look?
I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

There's about 60 tickets available for $51 or less on StubHub right now. None of them have electronic delivery, though.

Just checked Stubhub, and the cheapest tickets are $40 in the 3rd level.  There are usually a lot of tickets for sale outside at reasonable prices, but that's always a little unpredictable.  Not as many scalpers as at MU games, usually just people unloading extras.

That is the lowest price I've seen an MU-UW game at Kohl Center in a long time. If anyone else is thinking about going, I would say this is the time to go.

Might be a big pile of people putting their tickets up in the next 24 hours as they figure out plans to go to Indy for the B1G title game.

Anyone know what section is behind the MU bench?  Is it 121?

Also, the UW student section is Sec. 113-117, 214-216, & 314-316.  Lot's of student voucher tickets for sale, but I don't know if they have a student ID policy that might cause complications.

Any suggestions for a cheap hotel near the Kohl Center?  I know some MU fans staying at the Double Tree but I am not sure if there are better options.

You may want to ax the soda and popcorn cups sweeper from a couple of posts above. He's pretty connected and can hook you up.

The Hyatt is listed at $117 on Hotels.com.  It's a few blocks further from the Kohl Hole than the Double Tree, but closer to the square.

I'd highly suggest waiting 12-24 hours minimum before jumping on any BB tickets.  Big 1? championship tickets went on sale to the general public about 45 mins ago (8:30a).  There are at least a few hundred end zone tickets available at face value through UW right now & 10,000+ on StubHub as low as $40.  Plenty of availability to fill the growing demand.

Now that everyone is back from the holiday & back at work, the hype for the Big 1? championship should start to take hold... give the buckies some time to make their weekend arrangements in Indy, and make the ones who also have basketball tickets sweat a little.  There should be some pretty good deals come Thu/Fri.
Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

I live downtown in Milwaukee, would anybody be interested in riding with to the Kohl Hole?  One of my friends is (supposed) to meet up with me there, but i'm not holding my breath.

Still haven't gotten my tickets, so let me know if interested.

I was just notified by my buddy who attends UW's Law school that he has secured me a student section ticket to the game Saturday, where I will proudly be wearing my Wiskullsin Warriors shirt.

Anyone else in the student section? Nevermind, i see that there are. I look forward to either a) fighting our way out of the Kohls together should we be defeated or b) endlessly ridiculing the Rodent fans together whilst walking out a little taller with an MU record of 7-0.

I have been told that the ticket is, but when you enter the building they give you a second ticket with your seat number. They do this also for the student section at the football games, or at least they did when at the Purdue game last month. It didnt really work out too well for me as my seat was taken and finding an 'usher' was a monumental task. Luckly the game was more than over by half so i left.

I'll be there in the student section as well, in gold. Someone needs to think of a great sign. The best one I remember was in '07 and it said "Brian Butch: 2003 McDonald's All-American, 2008 McDonald's employee." If that person is on here, kudos. that was classic. Here's hoping for an encore

Thanks.  Just as a heads up, they don't allow signs into the Kohl Hole.  We had to roll it up and wrap it around the tallest guy's leg inside his jeans to get it in hah.

I had this thought as well, anyone else making the switch or would you still encourage gold?

Gold stands out better against the red.  We (I and my kids) will be in gold.

211 Row H. Just picked a pair up off Craigslist (madison) for $70 off some unsuspecting Badger Fan. Don't over pay.
But I like to throw handfuls...
