Overseas Elite extended their all-time TBT record to 22-0 last night with an 87-86 win over a team from Louisiana. Quite a bit of disagreement on Twitter as to whether or not the foul called that sent OE to the line to seal it when the game was tied at 86 was a foul or should've been a steal. I watched the play, tough call to make as a ref when the game is on the line, especially as it would've been a likely winning layup at the other end had they not called the foul. Check around the 1:30 mark to the end to see the finish:

That is a brutal call to end on. Looked like good defense to me but there are calls like that in every game. Just tough that it sealed the game

So Greg Oden was just added to the Ohio State alum team.  How fluid are the rosters once the tournament starts?  Since Buycks was waived since it started, would he be eligible to join the team now?
It would be great if we could line up Buycks and Lazar.

I think the Marquette team could use another few weeks of rest.

10 weeks (or whatever it's been) hasn't been quite enough.

Not sure on the rules, but Oden was listed on their roster last year and never played. Sullinger OTOH dominated our team.
He's playing tonite

Oden played last night.  His first organized game in 3 years.  He's still a mountain of a man but don't think he is what he once was.  Apparently Sullinger is getting married this week explaining his absence.  I personally think Jimmer's team runs 'em off the floor tomorrow.

Overseas Elite on Thursday. Probably at 6:00 pm CST. OE are the three-time defending TBT champs and have a 23-0 record in the past 4 years in this tournament.

I feel like all of the brackets they've shown on the broadcasts show that MU would play OE. Guess we will see at the end of the day/early in the week what time the next game will be, and exactly who it will be against.

Watched most of the last 3 quarters. Surprised by how entertaining it was and the Elam produced an exciting ending. If you're a skeptical MU fan I suggest you give it a try Thursday. We'll be watching regardless who the opponent is.

The officiating was pretty brutal in the second half. Shooters pulled through despite that crap. What a game by Acker, Diener. Elgin Cook is good too.

Not sure what we're using as the "real" TBT thread, so I posted this in the Elite Eight one. I'll post it here, too ...

Going Total Tower ...

FAB FOUR!

++ Diener showed why he left coaching to play again. The man still enjoys it, obviously. And more importantly, he's still got game. One of my 5 all-time favorite Warriors. tough little dude. The shot he hit right before the Elam Ending was cold-blooded ... dare I even say Rowseyesque?!?!

++ I was never a Jake fan, and he was in the game only because others fouled out, but that was a huge rebound to set up the winner.

++ Jamil really played dopey after he got his 3rd foul. His 4th, 5th and 6th all could have/should have been avoided. I think he actually had 7, because Jerel "claimed" one of his.

++ Our boyz got all the foul trouble they deserved. Cuse played it really smart in the 2H, attacking pretty much every single possession. If I were playing these MU alums, that's exactly what I'd do, too.

++ This Cook guy has been a contributor. Made a big hoop after Jamil left with his 5th foul, and hitting those 2 FTs to put our boyz within 3 of the target score was crucial.

++ I am really enjoying watching Mo Acker. I can tell he loves the game, and he has become a very solid basketball player.

++ I think I officially like the Elam Ending. I will be interested to see what some of the final stats from the whole tournament show. I allow that I might like it because our boyz are winning with it, but I want to see more of it. So nice to have basketball down the stretch of close games instead of hack-and-TO-a-thons. Would be cool if D3 or D2 gave it a try, or maybe the G-League.

++ I have to admit that I was luke-warm at best about the TBT but I've obviously warmed up to it more as our boyz have advanced. When Diener's winning shot went through, I actually stood up, let out a whoop and raised both arms.

++ Might try to get together with a couple other MU locals to watch Thursday. I never thought I'd be saying that!

So Greg Oden was just added to the Ohio State alum team.  How fluid are the rosters once the tournament starts?  Since Buycks was waived since it started, would he be eligible to join the team now?

From TBT FAQs:

What are the roster limits?

Teams can have a max of 15 players. The first 9 on your roster are free if they’re added before 12pm (noon) ET on June 1, 2017. Teams can have an unlimited amount of Coaches and Boosters.

How do we add Players to our team if we already have 9 or if it’s after June 1, 12p EST?

You must pay $1,000 per player up until the tournament starts. As you advance through the tournament, you may add more players, but it will cost increasing amounts. It’s $2,000 to add a player heading into the Super 16 and $3,000 to add a player heading into the Semifinals. See more in the Rules.

I didn't see this posted anywhere but here's a nice article about Cinmeon Bowers.
