Champions! In OT!!
1. HE. Hurt most of the game and it showed. HE came up big when we needed him.
2. Fishy. Tough game. He's a good one.
3. Haanif. Kid can play.
4. Du. Tough shots but needs to make his free throws.
5. Engine is going to be good, but I'm not sure it's his time to take over a game yet.
Go Warriors.
-
After reading Lighthouses, I realized I completely forgot that HE was injured most of the game.
So, Henry.
But shoutout to the Engine, for being a true PG and really running the show.
-
Carter.
-
Congrats on your first SOTG, Henry. Got another double-double with 18/11, hit some clutch FTs, fouled out Goodman, and only 1 foul against him in a night with 50 fouls called.
-
Luke
Henry
Traci
-
Can we have a win with no stud? I don't think anyone earned it.
-
Carter... For his consistency over two games.
-
Henry.....really does this need discussion
-

And I think he was perfect from FT line.......Henry
-
Vote for Henry -- first of many.
-
Traci- one to.
-
Oh Henry. Clutch when it counted. Honorable mention The Engine and and Big Fishy.
Tourney MVP!
-
Henry with another v.quiet double double. If he stops making freshman mistakes he'll be a freight train.
-

Bull. they played hard two nights in a row.

Did you forget the teal? Weren't you the one dressing people down yesterday for being negative when we were winning?
-
Pretty much the definition of a team effort. But if I HAD to pick one, I'd pick HE. Carter would be a close second, especially since he played really well in the last 2 mins, which is great to see!
-
Henry. 6-6 from the line, no turnovers. I'd have been clamoring for him to get physical, but that wouldn't have gone over well tonight - he played to the refs' rules and had one foul.
Runner-up to The Engine.
-
Henry. But the other tall skinny guy is equally deserving.
-
How about me, for walking away from the TV when we went down 4 and they got the ball back after Cheatham's charge? My superstitions of my favorite teams never playing well when I'm watching paid off again (although I watched the whole Packers/Vikings game and all of yesterday's LSU game...although, of course, I couldn't see the 10-0 start, so...).
-
Carter... For his consistency over two games.
I don't think that's how this works.
I'm going with Luke on this one. But I don't think they played well. I don't think anyone on either team played well. All the ridiculous calls on both sides of the ball made this game really difficult to watch.
-
Fischer. Right now, he's the big that people are game planning around, and he's still doing work.
-
Henry, if it counts
-
Luke
-
Fish, without him the game was toast.
-
Ellenson, but Fischer is definitely coming in a close second on this one.
-

Don't get me wrong, the win was great. And it's true, Henry never seems to be doing much but comes out with a double-double. I just didn't feel anyone was hands down the stud. Just like there's no stud when we lose, even if someone was lights out.
-
Henry: Clutch rebounding and free throws down the stretch. A quiet 18 points, and 3 blocks
Henry
Henry
Luke: Man among boys. Get him the ball whenever possible.
Traci: Solid game, love his energy. Had a few ill-advised shots though
Duane: He is starting to get the hoop at will which is huge, we will need that this season. Gotta hit the freebies though.
-
Not like anyone's opinion matters, but Henry gets my vote for SOTG.
-
Henry was named tourney MVP. He should earn SOTG. Two double doubles. I thought he was much better than Carter.
-
Henry
-
Henry, Henry, Henry
-
1. HE for playing injured
2. Fish for being a beast
-
1. Henry
2. Traci
3. Luke
I would vote Luke if he could stay out of foul trouble.
-
Hard to deny tournament MVP

Yup. Traci shows flashes and might get one at some point, but didn't like the rushed three and just a few too many bad decisions for my uncounted vote.
-
Luke or Henry. Both deserve it.
Honorable mention to Haanif. Dudes gonna be good.
-
I'll vote HE for the guts and clutch (and double double)
-

That's just absurd. Henry, Luke or Traci played hard and well enough to win. If you Tivo'd it I recommend you rematch.
-

Played 42 minutes, handled the ball on every possession, ran the offense , had 0ne turnover. The "rushed three" came when he had to bring the ball the length of the court with six seconds left. 13 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 6 of 7 from the line. What exactly do you want the kid to do?
-
Henry, hands down.
-
Waiting for a drunk Rocky to return to his hotel and post Michael Mache.

Wow. That's ridiculous. Anim was the clear stud.
Or Henry. Screw it I'm going with my gut.

so no one in your mind played well? i mean, nothing? no decent play? were you watching the iowa rerun?
-
no dis to HE at all, but luke was the man. wojo shoulod have been going to him until they figured him out, then HE then back to luke...sandy, even though he got called on at least one cheapo, has got to watch his fouo situation-we are going to need his 3's fown the stretch some day and...

Fischer was solid, but missed too many easy shots for my taste last night.
HE was the right choice for last night, with Carter a solid second and Luke third.

I'm a fan, but Henry was the better player last night. Just because he's not my SOTG doesn't mean I'm not pleased with his performance. Man, this board is really touchy of late.

It's always a good sign when Scoopers have to resort to nitpicking. That being said, they can knock it off now.

No doubt.
But I think Henry's 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 blocks in 36 minutes playing with a bum leg was a better performance.

Exactly. HE could hardly move and did what he did last night. At times I thought he looked like just another stiff 6'11" white kid. To his credit, he sucked it up and took it to the hole number of times and had the stat line he had.

All kidding aside, I am thankful we can argue for choices again. This season will be "Life on an Elevator", but the team learned a lot about themselves on the rebound from being body slammed by Iowa.
