Sacar
Markus scored a lot. Thought he forced it at times today.
Bailey a late vote for finding a body doe!
-
Sacar
Markus
Koby
-
Markus still kept us alive in the first half
I'm going him.
-
SOTG Markus. Sacar didn't really shoot much better although he did play well. Shoutout to Theo for 6 blocks, Jayce for manning the boards and Cain for showing up to play. Koby had a quiet good game and didn't force anything.
-
Markus usually gets it so give it to the guy with a lesser performance. Sacar. Smh
-
Markus was better.

Participation trophy.

Markus
Sacar and Jayce were great as well
-
Jayce
-
Team ft rate. Know it's supposed to go to a player, but that's where we won the game. Markus attempted and made the most, so I'll go with him, although no complaints if Sacar gets it.
-
Clearly markus. 32 points 4 dimes 6 rebounds. Created alot of the offense for him and others.
Sacar played great but most of his points were catching and shooting open 3s. Less assists and rebounds than markus like wtf no its markus frickin howard. Feel like there is this natural inclination to pick someone else cuz markus always gets it. Well duh because he puts up elete numbers almost every game.
-
Markus
-
I'm going JJ. Did EXACTLY what his coach wanted him to do today. And did it incredibly well.
-
Markus - great game
-
Sacar
not a fan of him shooting that many 3s but they went in in the second half and he was the difference. Solid all around game
Howard has been much more sure with the ball this year... until tonight
-
It's Markus with Sacar playing the role of Robin.
Loved what the bigs did today. If you could combine Jayce on offense with Theo on defense you would have yourself a pretty good big man.
-
My man Jamal
-
Markus. Aside from usual scoring output he hit Sacar for a big corner three and dropped a dime to Jayce to keep the lead at 3 possessions. He put us in a great position at the end of the first half then closed it out in the 2nd.
A lot of guys had very nice games but Markus was the stud.
-
Sacar. Was all over the floor. Hit some key shots at critical times.

This.
Markus.

Markus offense
Theo Defense
Markus overall

Markus, rinse, repeat.
-
Markus

If I have to pick one its gotta be zero.
-
Markus but man Sacar played well. Must feel like every player on the Bulls during the Jordan era.
-
Sacar. Just kept us in it at every facet.
Markus for being himself
Jayce for being Mr Glass
BB for murder
-
If it’s an equal playing field, then it’s Markus. Sacar and jayce really stepped up though. The whole team played good. Nice win.
-
To be Fair Markus.
-
Howard. Kept us there in the first half, led the team in assists, and was in good position to pull in 6 rebounds. He played like an All-American, and unlike Tony Smith, Scoop shouldn't punish Howard because he's that good.
-
Markus.
Didn’t force shots, distributed the ball well, hit his FTs, sold popcorn at halftime.
-
Howard
If plays like tonight the rest of the way, he moves into my top ten. He played a very smart game tonight and made others better.

Markus

It's not.

Markus with a special mention for Sacar.
-
Sacar!
-
Markus.
Sacar was very good. Jayce was good. Jamal stepped up while BB was struggling.
Koby was really good tonight as well.
-
Markus. Lucky to have that dude.
-
Sacar, A game today

SOTG #10 for #0

Markus

Imagine how quickly you'd vote for any other player who did what Markus did in that game. It's Markus

Lol exactly. Any other player in the last 15 years who put up that performance would be an automatic pick

Markus.

This is 100% the case.
-
Markus the great.
-
Markus
We are “starting” to take him for granted.
-
Markus the rebounds matta

Markus

This is 100% the case.
Yup. None of the other performances were as critical for the win as Markus. He's commanding all the attention and leaving guys like Sacar and Bailey wide open. Meanwhile he makes mainly all contested threes.
-
Markus.

I agree Markus for SOTG, but he most definitely forced a good many shots.
-
Hey Rock, I suggest you use another picture that Brew recently sent you.
Oh, and Sacar with the honorable mention...
-
I agree Markus for SOTG, but he most definitely forced a good many shots.
We're gonna have to disagree here. If you compare last night to the typical Markus game, he deferred to others FAR more than he typically would, and he didn't take any shots that he doesn't take virtually every game.

This x10000. Fire this award into the sun if Markus doesn't get it.
-
This award is Stud of the Game, not just MVP. Hell, Frozena even won once on a pity vote. Key contributors who stepped up are worthy of consideration and have won in the past numerous times. It’s not a slight to not pick Markus. The criteria is whatever mood Rocky wakes up in.

I'm pretty sure Frozena shared that one.
-
Another good team win with contributions up and down the roster. But Markus was the stud of the game -- and I don't think it was close. He was simply the best player on the court.
-
5'11 (ish). 6 rebounds.
-
During Marquette's current three-game winning streak, Markus is averaging 36.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.7 turnovers per game. Total stud.

The stud of the game should be the player that was most critical in helping MU to victory. I rarely have disagreed with the selections by the admins. A key contributor that gets the honorable mention is a player that outplayed their usual expectations.
In this case, Sacar scored more than he normally does. But his production was not that of Markus. Jamal contributed much more than he normally does as well. Does that mean Jamal Cain was the stud of the game? Absolutely not. He played above his norm. Something to be recognized but not to go overboard making a different choice for the sake of it. It's like giving Alex Caurso sotg when he drops 15 and 8 despite Lebron posting a triple double.
-
I don't disagree that others are playing well, and playing hard in these games. But Markus is still outscoring everyone, while simultaneously drawing more defenders and helping others get easier shots. It's really incredible.

Great Markus Pic.

Enjoy it while it lasts. This is what a first team All American and NPOY candidate does.
