Quite a compliment if Hayward and Maymon may be regard as one of the best  forward combinations in the nation with Jimmy Butler, Erik Williams and Joe Fulce waiting in the wings.

Heh - I like the last paragraph.  Seems like a shot at the old guy  :P

"The tradition Benford talked about can be sold even harder on the recruiting trail because that three-headed beast got so much exposure last season and they were running and pushing the ball as opposed to running 300 sets every game. That attracts kids."

Quite a compliment if Hayward and Maymon may be regard as one of the best  forward combinations in the nation with Jimmy Butler, Erik Williams and Joe Fulce waiting in the wings.

Did you read a different article?  I saw nothing about our forwards in there.  Perhaps it's just my reading comprehension.

Here's that thread:  http://www.muscoop.com/index.php?topic=15385.0

The quote that NCMUFan recalled was from the comments about Jeronne Maymon.

Quote
Athletic, 230-pound strongman will pay immediate dividends for the Eagles. Attacks the basket at will, looks good in transition, and can play above the rim. Proven boardsmith also plays with unbridled toughness and tenacity on defense. His presence could allow Hayward to play his natural small forward position, forming a forward duo as tough as anyone in the country.
