Shot of a lifetime

Not taking anything away from the young lad, but were these nba refs calling the game?  Looks like he got away with a “few” steps, but...what a great moment!

Awesome shot...and it certainly looked like traveling. But his body was blocking the view of the ball from this camera angle, so I wonder if maybe he was bobbling it. I noticed that none of the players from the other team made the traveling signal, which is almost instinctual when you think an opponent traveled. Even after the shot went in, I didn't see a single kid trying to say he traveled.

Either way, it goes down as a 3.

Here's a different angle.  He actually dribbled the ball.  It still looks like a travel, but it's not blatant.

Good point!  The other team was in such shock, I think they all were about ready to faint.  Talk about  what if I only woulda....

A third angle

That was amazing.  Feel terrible for the inbounder.  I wonder if they were out of timeouts and he didn't want to risk the short pass.

99.9% of the time its the right pass to make. If your out of timeouts, the other team is out of timeouts, you can't find anyone open close. Chuck the ball 3/4 of the way down the court in the middle and someones bound to touch it. the other .1% of the time this happens.

Yep - he made the right pass, but the other guy just made a once in a lifetime play.

Not even the first one of it's kind this season. High school basketball is great.
