Virginia with an unreal win.
« on: March 01, 2018, 09:25:47 PM »
Louisville was up 66-62 with 5 seconds left and lost at home.

Virginia got fouled with 0.9 left shooting a three. Made the first two. Tryed to miss the third but Virginia ran into the lane. Louisville ball.

Louisville runs the baseline. Travel. Virginia ball.

Virginia banks in a three at the buzzer. 5 points in 0.9 for Virginia.

My opinion this is the most unexpected comeback ever.

A&M came back from 12 down in 34 seconds.  Reggie scored 8 points in 9 seconds to win.

But 5 points in 0.9 seconds is unheard of.

MU over Davidson. That's the best comeback ever!

Yeah, that's just crazy.

And to make it even more unlikely, they didn't even get the board on the intentional miss.  Think about that - they tried the ultimate desperation strategy and failed...but still managed to win.

Better yet, VA is ranked the 351st slowest offense.

I had the game on mute while I was on a call, kind of paying attention to both things at once. I more or less wrote the game off when I saw the foul with a second to play, so I went back to the computer monitor. Next thing I see is the Virginia bench running onto the court and celebrating. Never saw that coming.

Nobody mentioned it here, but why would anyone foul a guy shooting a '3' with a second left? Let him have it and game is over by the time the ball goes through the hoop (if it does).

Exactly. Nobody should have been within 10 feet of him.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.
