Blue Hose SOTG
« on: November 17, 2018, 01:47:15 PM »
Chartouny.

Only guy that didn’t look like it was a chore to put up a shot before Chartouny turned the game around was Joey. Chartouny very under control. Need more of this if we want to have a top 3 finish in the BE.

Shooting is contagious, but the ball movement is what changed things. Markus made some really nice reads to cutters off of the screen and roll.

The flip was switched. Let’s see if we can put up a fight in NYC.

Agreed, ball movement is crucial. It was painful for long stretches against UMBC & IU. If Joe can get the rock moving, give him the keys.

Also going with Chartouny.  Sam with a double double, but Chartouny knocking down some big shots changed the flow and tempo of the game.

Yup. Sam really got going after Chartouny switched the momentum for us, but Sam getting going from 3 is just as big as Chartouny getting going from...anywhere.

Chartouny

Moves the ball, makes everyone around him better, under control, and doesn’t turn the ball over

It was Joey in the first half but Joe blew him out of the water in the second half. Hope this is the lid lifting game for him. Him playing well makes us so much better.

I do want to throw out there that I think Theo was secretly one of the keys this game. He's not going to show up in the box score but he was doing beastly work clearing out driving lanes in the second half. He got benched with early fouls and I think that was part of the problem in the first half.

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Joe C for second half, wake up for him.  Was excellent

Sam 19 and 10
Joey gonna be really good.
Markus 7 turnovers, not this game.
Theo four fouls, four turnovers. Has to stay on court, MU much bettter.

JC.  I should have more faith that it just takes time with these grad transfers.  Especially since he was gone a good deal of the summer playing internationally.

Whats the chances Wojo realizes what everyone else in this entire thread understands???!!!!   Markus cannot play point!!!!  Chartouney at the 1, Markus at the two, hausers and theo should benthe starting line up.
Chartouny 30 + minutes a game at the PG spot

Absolutely love seeing JC rise from the bench and take control of the game.

But I gotta say Sam. His play kept us in the game so JC could come in and let us win it.
I mean, OK, maybe he's secretly a serial killer who's pulled the wool over our eyes with his good deeds and smooth jumper - Pakuni (on Markus Howard)

Joseph.  That group that was in at the end has to be the starting five.  Joey and Joseph must start with Theo, Sam and Marcus.  They need to see more minutes as a group.

Box score might say Sam or Joey, and both put up deserving lines, but it was Chartouny who drove the offense when we made our comeback. Rebounding, driving, shooting, dishing, today was everything I hoped to see when we added this guy. Hope it's a sign of things to come.
