...according to Goodman.

Welcome to Marquette, Matt!
-
If nothing else this shows WOJO can get some recruits because we werent the only high major knocking.

Marquette now at 11 scholarships for the 2014-15 season. Currently one player taller than 6-foot-7.

Carlino will step in at the point right away. Averaged 13.7 points, 4.3 assists per game last year at BYU. #mubb

The Derrick Wilson Era, we hardly knew ye.

RT @GoodmanESPN: Marquette has landed a commitment from BYU graduate transfer Matt Carlino, who is eligible to play this coming season.

#mubb RT @EvanDaniels: Matt Carlino to Marquette, per a source.

With three available scholarships, this looks like a solid pickup. Carlino can run the point while Duane and JJJ handle the 2 guard spot. Derrick will be the back-up at point.
-
You're forgetting Mayo, or do you not think he'll be back?

Todd playing the 3 and Bane the 4?
-
Four schools committed to in his career. That has to be close to a record

the sun always sets
midnight has an eerie calm
dawn brings a new day

You're right...also forgot about Dawson. My bad.
MU's backcourt looks solid with Mayo, JJJ, Duane Wilson, Derrick Wilson, Dawson, and now, Carlino.
I expect a lot of 4 guard sets. MU won't be big, but look at 'nova this season. Going small worked out pretty well for them.

Welcome Matt. Sorry the skiing isn't as good but at least you'll be able to get a beer. Go Warriors!

You sure about that all those guys? Might be, but I wouldn't bet the farm just yet.

Burton said earlier this month that he likes Duane Wilson as a 2 more than at the point. He certainly has the scoring skill set.

Here we go with the transfer specter again. If you've got some inside info please share it, otherwise give it a rest already.

Well, I thought he meant from a quality perspective...not a transfer perspective.
My guess is that we would have heard about a non-academic transfer by now. Academic ones wouldn't surface for another few weeks.

This gives MU some real experience at guard, Cohen will need time to adjust to the speed of the game, plus get stronger. Solid get. Dawson will still be a soph and Duane is just a frosh.
Derrick has been discussed at nausesm. I can see Carlino, Duane, Mayo, Burton, and Taylor starting early and then Fisher will come in and start which means one will go to the bench but
probably will play 20 to 25 minutes. JJJ will see sometime as well. Maybe Juan will improve, which will give you an 8 or 9 man rotation.

Yeah.
Off the top of my head, DJ Newbill committed to three: MU, Southern Miss, Penn State.
Savon Goodman committed to Nova, decommitted, then committed to UNLV. Now I think he committed to ASU.

I am sure he has knows that Catholic girls are easier than Mormon girls.

I love northern NM but Alta powder is the best. Doubt he's skiing while on scholars, though, so he isn't giving anything up.

Alta is awesome. My favorite mountain by far.

Yikes, speakin' as the mudder of a current coed, hey?

Baldy Chute. 0900. First run of the day through knee deep. Gets the juices flowing.

I am just playing the averages.

So Wojo's first move beyond keeping the players he inherited and retaining one Brent recruit is to address the overwhelming problem and greatest weakness last season -- PG. I like the guy already.
-
PG and outside shooting together!

Now you know why I didn't "give it a rest".
Nothing was guaranteed, but I had good intel that things weren't going in the direction folks thought.

This board really blows in the summer.

I'd like to take a moment to recognize what a great name "Fear Of A Badger Planet" is.
