The Daily Hoosier feature on Markus
« on: November 13, 2018, 11:33:09 AM »
https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/marquette-guard-markus-howard-presents-a-major-challenge-for-indiana/

Not so much a game preview as an in-depth feature article on Markus Howard -- a one-time recruit at Indiana, where his father played college football.

Lots of good quotes from Archie Miller. A couple stood out to me:

"You want to try to make him a passer as best you can. That's something all great scorers don't want to do at times. They want to get going early."

"In two or three or four minutes he can take the air out of the building by just bombing two or three in a row, and it's like, timeout, we have to get reorganized."
"Let's get a green drink!" Famous last words

Hope he goes for 40+.
I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

Similar comments to what Andy Bottoms talked about on The Real Chilly Podcast. The way Markus is passing this year, that would be a fine way for them to start. Open everyone else up for better looks, then when they realize they can't just blanket him, he'll get some open looks of his own.

I hope he lets the game come to him.  If he scores 40+ that's great.  If he scores 20 with 12 assists and few turnovers, that's good too.
