Can't stand that guy. Whiney punk.
-
Don't hate on the traditional player. He is what Gasser aspires to be.
-
Looked like he and DJO were jawing
-
Although not as Jerry Springeresque, Hansbrough has officially filled the void left by Eric Devendorf.
-
He's no Devendorf.
BTW, I couldn't remember Devendorf's name so I googled "Syracuse punk" which is apparently a band. "Syracuse basketball punk"... Devendorf was #2 result ;D
-
No. Devendorf had several other reasons to hate him. Hansbrough just got really frustrated tonight.
-
Funny how the mere mention of the word "punk" and everyones thoughts turn to Devendorf.
-
The students can't chant "Trailer Trash" for Hansbrough.
-
Crowder was jawing with him late in the game as well. I didn't pick up on anything during the game, but when I saw this post I figured I had missed something.

I believe Hansbrough had been called for an off the ball foul shortly before that. My assumption is that the earful he was getting from JC had something to do with that. Also, earlier in the game BH had turned the ball over and Jae went to get the ball from him and instead of handing it over, he snatched it back and it flung it behind him down the court away from Jae.
The morals of the stories: Hansbrough is a punk.

Sw that and was waiting for Jae to do something about it. Kudos to him he did nothing. Scoreboard

Earlier in the game he was ready to shoot a free throw, knowing damn well that he shouldn't have been there, then acted surprised and hurt that he was caught cheating. Buzz went crazy and the refs corrected the situation, putting the correct shooter on the line. The rest of the night BH whined like a puppy during the first night of crate training.
-
I would never have wanted Devendorf on our team, but I'd take Hansbrough in a heartbeat.
-
I like his game. He certainly was frustrated tonight, but man does he work hard off the ball. Told my kid to watch how hard he plays. Glad we suffocated him, but admire his non-stop effort.
-
I don't know if he is a punk, but the word "spastic" comes to mind while watching his game.
-
His attitude and skill set remind's me of a poor man's Diener... ehhh maybe a homeless man's Diener.
-
I am a big fan of Poplar Bluff, MO and the local HS Social Studies program.
-
"Psycho B"?
-
lame thread. Ben H. is a solid player and I'd take him on my team any day of the week.
I STILL HATE ND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Notre Dame clearly has a lot of "traditionalism" majors on their team.

And they're ranked in the top 10, have wins over Wisconsin-madison, Gonzaga, Georgetown, UCONN, St. John's, Georgia, California, etc.

And lost to MU.
Nuff said.

Don't think so. He has quite a ways to go to match Defendork as a world class punk.

I have no interest in having an obnoxious, whiny flop-artist on my team, especially one who gets as rattled as Hansbrough did last night.

Looks like a Syracuse fan didnt take kindly to this thread....

That's the same guy that's come over to the MU boards before (Scout) - definitely a real a**hole. To get a feel for how delusional this guy is, he thinks Syracuse football is just a great program and steep in tradition.

Apparently we are the gay ones.

Did anyone go back and read that entire thread and read the comments from that guy? He is a typical Big Tweleven homer and was just scratching at anything to bash MU on, must be a sad life you lead sir.
-
That dude is a sad, sad little man. His hated for MU is just weird. Maybe a MU fan is slipping it to his wife, who knows...thats really the only explanation I can come up with.
Were not rivals. Why does he get so worked up?
-
LOL, it actually looks like he's pissed we have the nerve to go out and win against any of the old BE teams. Though we haven't won against Cuse, so I'm not sure why he's so riled up!
-
He's also very misinformed...
Selling the BC to Marquette for $1?
The Bulls moving out of the United Center to a better neighborhood? Never.

The guy that posted that is a real gem. It either is Defendork himself, or a close personal friend. As Sultan would say "Stay classy, my friend!"

Wow! Talk about an overraction! For the record, even Jim Boeheim couldn't wait to get Devendorf off his team. The guy was basically told to "declare" despite having to chance of being drafted.
Mark my words, Eric Devendorf will live a majority of his life in prison. There is something the matter with him.
-
At least the other 'Cuse fans have a good head on their shoulders. I like Syracuse fans and their team (and I love Funk'n'Waffles). I hope we beat them one of these years like Doofendorf beats women.
-
My favorite line was definitely: "For those of you that "like" MU, go F yourselves."
Apparently he not only hates MU but hates all people who have even a moderate amount of respect for the program.
-

I hate to break it to you but I doubt Hansbrough would start on our team.
He doesn't seem tough enough to beat out any of our starters.

This was hilarious.
-
i agree this thread is weak....why the haters..kid plays hard...i would take him coming off the bench on our squad.....

Except when he's pouting.
If I was picking players off ND's roster to add to MU's, I'd take Abromitis, Nash, Scott and maybe even Atkins over Hansbrough.
-
I'd probably pass on all of them

I thought of this when he stated "their fans are gay as hell"

Not after the MU game.

the rule book states that is atechnical.
-
According to the TV announcers the refs had signalled two different fouls on MU almost simultaneously, one of which would have sent Hansbrough to the line. The other ref ruled that his call was the first, so Hansbrough shouldn't have been shooting. It could have just been a "mistake" by Hansbrough to go to the line - - but I prefer to believe that he was intentionally cheating!

Speaking of technicals- They've cut down on the amount of whining pros get away with, why not expand that to the NCAA? Teach these kids some manners.

Loooong time ago in H.S. JV game one of my teammates - quietest, most mild-mannered kid you'd ever meet - took a shot from the baseline about two seconds after the ref blew the whistle to stop the play. And he got "T'd up". And how about hanging on the rim - used to be you could only hang on the rim if it was to prevent yourself from falling on top of someone and getting hurt. Now every breakaway dunk results in a "pull up" on the rim. Sorry, old fart/rant over

Tyler would fit in nicely on this team.

Tyler would fit in nicely on pretty much every college team ever ;)

Sure doesn't look like he's ticked ND got blown out!

I'd love to have an Abromitis on our team. A tough match-up b/c of his size and skill set. His length can also help on defensive/rebounding end.

Agreed. But he had difficulty dealing with MU's speed and interior activity.
