New ESPN Rankings
« on: May 24, 2011, 01:35:43 PM »
The new ESPNU100 for 2012, Super 60 for 2013, and Terrific 25 for 2014 were released today.  Always interesting to take a look.

http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/recruiting/rankings/_/class/2013

http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/recruiting/rankings/_/class/2014

2012 notes

Jamal Ferguson dropped out of the rankings.
Alex Poythress-17
Jarnell Stokes-18
Gabe York- 33
Phillip Nolan-96
Wannah Bail-98

Lots of other MU recruits on the list.

2013 Notes

Jabari Bird-11
Brannen Greene- 15
Anton Gill-27
Bronson Koenig-47
Kendrick Nunn-48

Really like Greene.  He's looking to verbal early and I hear we are in a good position to land him.

Kevon Looney-22 from Milwaukee

Guess Matt Painter and Purdue (#72 and #89 in 2012 and #20, #35 and #53 in 2013) are not in nearly as much trouble recruiting-wise as some Indiana fans here have speculated.

Sam Dekker is rated 95, just like Tokoto, and is ranked 45, eight spots behind Tokoto who is ranked 37.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Jamal was the 28 rated SF and the 1st one not in the top 100.  so it puts him around 100-105.  Not really a Big Deal.  At this point his is still more of a elite Athlete and needs to keep developing his Skill level.

Those are the type of recruits that can excite the fan base. Keeping recruiting athletes and sky is the limit.

I guess IU ranked #1 recruited class was missed by you.

Chicos, all Lenny is pointing out is if you listen to IU fans they make it sound Like IU is slapping Purdue around when it comes to recruiting.  He is just pointing out that as good as IU is doing Purdue is doing Fine as well.

"Hey do you 'Wannah Bail' on who's recruiting you and come to Marquette?"

Sorry, had to type something cheezy.  It's Friday before a long weekend to unofficial kick-off of the summer..............

Oh I get it just fine.  Here's the situation, Purdue had six state of Indiana guys pegged that they wanted.  They got one of the six.  Sure, they still have a decent recruiting class, but they have had their lunch handed to them currently and with verbals down the road.  Word has it that IU had a killer video coordinator that AAU players had to follow to play at that school.  Look for New Mexico to take off in their recruiting now.

There is an ignore button, it's really easy to use.  I never understood why if someone feels EVERY post someone makes annoys them, then why on earth don't you prevent yourself from reading that post?  Makes zero sense.

The functionality of the ignore button goes completely out the window when people feel the need to quote every post.

Watching '14 Prospect Kevon Looney last year - he is a beast - if you get a chance, watch a Milwaukee Hamilton game this upcoming season.  Looney has many tools that will take him places in basketball
