First, there is no natl signing day. Next, "free for all" in college hoops isn't true. Football is a different beast, but there is... finer etiquette in bball.

Finally... Aug 27? It's crazier than that. You don't know for sure until they are at the scorer's table checking into a game.

Football is much more of a free for all than basketball. Has any high caliber recruit switched his commitment during the signing week? I can't think of one. Some reopenings of recruitments, but it isn't nearly as crazy as football.

I think changes happen more in basketball, when the coach is either fired or leaves for another job.  The one name this year that changed his school was the Porter
kid from Washington to Mizzou.  I think that might have been this spring as well.

Grimes seems a great situation to me: we have a possibility to add a dynamite prospect but since our roster is full we're not being held hostage to the decision. No risk, high reward stuff.

I heard last night that Nobal Days has verballed to the vadgers . My "inside source" is his next door neighbor. Said the kid is a very good student and would have qualified for academic scholarship.

I know this is hearsay but I thought it was interesting/ disappointing.

He's a troll.  He's rambling on about a badger recruit who has no chance of coming to MU.  Everyone knows his schtick and he has no credibility.  But he hasn't been obscene, insulting, offensive.   Merely annoying and tiresome.

Problem is that everyone keeps acknowledging his existence.  Don't feed the trolls and they go away.
