He's passing up a lot of shots he would have taken the last couple of years to get his teammates involved.

Plus he has to allow Matthews to pad his stats so he can disappear during the big east season and still average 13 a game.

Lather, rinse, repeat.  You are ridiculous.

You lost any and all credibility when you said that Fitzgerald should start over Matthews.  Wow.

So esoteric

Oh stop, that was after he had 2 or 3 good games, and don't say that MU needed perimiter shooting last year.  Wes is just a bit of a tweener that really doesn't do anything great, just good in many areas....not saying that he isn't good, but would be a perfect sixth man.

Wes has done the same thing in years past, leads team in scoring pre conference and drops off when good competition starts....just sayin.  Not going to look up stats, but I'd be willing to bet his numbers drop off significantly, someone will look it up....probably you, but you likely won't post when you find out my esoteric mind wins again.  BTW, kickin it in birchy right now.

Actually you're wrong.  Only in his freshman year did his average go down during conference play.  And he was hurt that year missing 8 games and coming back still not healthy for the first couple games back.  Otherwise, his numbers go up when the competition is tougher.

2005-06:  Pre Conference 9.5   Conference 8.1
2006-07:  Pre Conference 11.5  Conference 13.9
2007-08:  Pre Conference 9.9  Conference  11.7

And if I recall he suffered an injury during conference play his freshman year as well...

James' numbers were probably low also due to the amount of time he spent on the bench while Reese ran the 1. Not sure what Buzz was going for with the lineups, resting James or something else, but James didn't play 37 minutes like he may have last year.

Garbage time free throws and baskets.....its true, I don't care what the stats say I was at every game.  Don't think Stats tell the whole story, just my opinion.....

Don't think Stats tell the whole story

When the sample size is 3 seasons (90+ games), I would say it tells a pretty complete story.

It might be your opinion, but it's not matching the facts.

Buzz,s half court offense is not PG friendly------the PG makes the first pass to key the offense and then basically gets out of the way and more often than not doesn't get another touch in that possession cycle.

DJ's two buckets were isolated layins off TO's on transition.

Matthews is going to have a great year. Buzz's offense is perfect for him. Small forwards in Crean's offense were an after thought.
