The first half against Cincinnati was awful basketball for Marquette. Why, why, why does MU often play so poorly in the first half?

Cincinnati played well and so aggressively, making us look like chumps -- especially Junior Cadougan. His shooting could not get much worse.

Death, taxes, MUAvenue unhappy.   Cinci came out with more intensity in the first half.   Kudos.

Marquettte has struggled scoring.  Defensively, in the 2nd half, they picked it up.  Cincy, though, is playing very well.  Sometimes the other teams scholarship players can play well.

Wow, what a shock, we have a deficit, and the morons come out. Why don't you trolls just log off and stay that way. Seriously, what fun is it to be a fan if the only time you can be bothered to voice your opinion is when things are bad? What a sad, pathetic excuse for a life. Usually, I would be ashamed and disgusted that you are fellow Marquette fans, but it's easy to see that such pathetic trolls aren't Marquette fans, you're just whiny, moaning pricks that live for self-flagellation.

Go the hell away and stay there. I'm sick of your kind of crap.

Because you are a sad, pathetic, troll. Because people are sick and tired of your "woe is us" kind of consistent crap. Because you are the kind of person that would rather bring other fans down than enjoy the positives. Because you constantly try to belabor points, but only when they suit your anti-Marquette agenda. Because you disgust the rest of the board. Because lw and most of the rest of us are annoyed that the only time you bother to surface is moments like this.

Need more reasons? I'm sure we could go on like this all night, troll.

Do us all a favor, then.  Do not watch again until next season.

Follow along with me...

1.  Loss in horrific fashion against cinncy
2.  Tough matchup against GT, loss results in 4 seed in BET
3.  Possible match-up against tough Louisville team who is playing much better now

3 losses result in a 5 seed...

4.  Bad matchup or bad game against a good 12 seed

We may have seen mu's last victory for this year against WV

Really - you dont see this as a possibility - especially with the increased competition upcoming as well as how bad Marquette played tonight (matching some stretches of really stinker ball they played throughout the season.

Guess we can't all be homers.

I'm going to forget this game.  I do not think Cincinnati played particularly well in the first half.  They certainly had high energy level and didn't let us run.  We were just awful.  They were 2-14 or whatever from 3 and they were all good, wide open looks.

It's one stinker.  Let's whip Georgetown and forget it.

Game would have been closer if Yancy hadn't gotten those two early fouls. That completely changed how they played. Second half was close with him in the lineup.,except for the worst full court press i have ever seen. we couldn't move tonight

Really - you dont see this as a possibility - especially with the increased competition upcoming as well as how bad Marquette played tonight (matching some stretches of really stinker ball they played throughout the season.

Guess we can't all be homers.

Not sure how being an optimistic fan of a good team makes one a "homer."

Am sure how turning only the sixth loss of an extremely enjoyable into a death watch makes you a joyless mope.

Since we haven't lost many games in the last two months, I forgot how entertaining the Scoop board becomes after a loss.   Losing is never fun, but reading the comments of the experts on this board always gives me a laugh.

Very true, but .. I think we're all pretty disappointed in the meltdown.

I mean, I think we all expected to wake up this morning and see the troll tsunami.  What is there, 2 threads?  Are they on spring break or something?

Good lord.  This place is laughable sometimes.

In '03, I remember a MU team that came out in their first game of the conference tournament against UAB and played like they all ate a huge meal of mexican food right before the game.

A few weeks later, I seem to remember a game in the Metrodome in which DWade spent most of the afternoon hanging from the rim looking down at Marquis Estill.  Later, he cut the nets off and the team went to the final four for the first time in 26 years.

Sometimes good teams play bad games.  Did the Packers win the super bowl this season?  Were they any good?

When would you rather have MU lose? Last night or in two weeks?

Some of you people need to put the keyboard down and have a little perspective before you write the crap that you do.

Yeah, we all can't FURIOUSLY masturbate thinking about present and future losses  all the attention you are going to garner on a random message boardlike you can, either.
