Wisconsin D1 HS Championship
« on: March 20, 2011, 06:40:13 AM »
Incredible game.  Madison Memorial won in three overtimes over DePere.  Brendan Ortiz of Memorial took the game over after Junior Lomomba and two other starters were lost to fouls.  Ortiz hit a three pointer with a second to go to force overtime, hit two free throws in the first OT to force the second, ditto for the second, and in the third hit a floater with a second to go to win the game.

Was a crazy game to attend. I also went to the semi-finals, and after De Pere beat the number 1 team in the state who was Appleton East I thought they would run away with the title. Memorial played a great game, had to be one of the best Wisconsin Championship games ever.
