SS Badger out for the season
« on: August 02, 2023, 03:38:45 PM »
I do like the symbolism.

I feel bad for everyone who had booked trips and planned trips based on the boat running.
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

Mother's family from Gaylord.
Childhood days would make the C&O ferry trip to and from Milwaukee to Ludington every summer.
Bit of Great Lakes Trivia, but C&O also had a much older ship than the Badger and Spartan called the Pere Marquette.

My in laws met on that ship more than 63 years ago. When they got off the boat, they bought an $8 print of the boat, that’s now hanging in the house up in DoCo.

I didn’t see where their strong safety got hurt. What happened?
