Lexi announces her retirement, effective the end of this US Open.  Boomers will now have to ogle another young American golfer.

Made the US Open at age of 12 and before Lydia Ko, was the youngest ever winner on the LPGA.

11 career LPGA wins, including the 2014 Kraft Nabisco.  Often in contention at majors, her putting was often a horror show.  Hadn’t won since 2014.

Probably the most overrated golfer on the ladies circuit of the last 15 years.  She never ascended to number one in the world, getting as high as number 4.  Loose with the rules, too.

Had never really watched many Walton highlights.  Looks like he had a bit of Jokic's passing ability out of the mid post and Duncan's defensive abilities and fundamentals (bank shots from 15).

He started as a guard in high school and had a big growth spurt between frosh and sophomore years I believe, so the passing and feel for that aspect was there.

He’d have thrived in the modern game.  He’d have thrived in any era and did during his time, but playing in the age of spacing?  Yeah, he’d be unstoppable

Didn't have catch phrases? Conference of champions?

Is that a catchphrase or just his pet name for the conference that he adores?  If he had names like that for a million things, then maybe.  But that was the only thing.

Currently about halfway through Nuclear War: A Scenario by Annie Jacobs, and would recommend it. I bought it after listening to her interview on Dan Carlin's Hardcore History Addendum podcast.  She interviewed a ton of retired military folks and others in the know re the US nuclear apparatus and policies.  The first 1/3 of the book or so is an accessible, blurby dive into our silos, detection and response capabilities, chain of command, etc.  A very quick read, but I learned a lot.

Really unfortunate.  Will miss his "accidental" references to MU as the warriors...

There are 100s of thousands around the world in similar circumstances as this young mother as a result of these poisonous mNRA treatments.  At least Canada offered to peacefully assist in ending her life.  The death cult is real.

There is an option to donate on the site (step up Scoop) so maybe that will help mitigate a bit of the horror she has to live through for the rest of her life.

Do you think that website would be accepted as a source if you wrote a paper about this for a professor at Marquette, or do you think they would ask you to find a reputable source for your argument?

I think that pretty much applies to anyone in the Big East at this point.  It's clear there is going to be a bi-furcation of leagues shortly....it's clear the big 4 conferences will be a part of the future of top tier basketball.  Beyond that a big "?"

Yep.  Not hard to imagine MU being in a second tier.  Val needs to be talking to these other commissioners about being in the first tier.  Based on most of the teams financial backing of basketball in the Big East I think it could happen.  The power school teams would have to share the tournament revenue and they may not want to but the product (end of season tournament) would be terrible if traditional basketball schools were left out.  There are literally millions of people who would not watch.  I know I wouldn’t.

TAMU and others seem to think they would have to have at least 100-150 teams in the new tier one (correct me if I’m wrong TAMU) and I hope they are right.

What a disaster the would be for a school like MU.  There will be kids who won’t choose MU for that reason.  Would there be a basis for a lawsuit against the  power conferences?  This would really harm recruiting and retaining students.

I feel if Fox offers a new contract they’re safe for another 10 years.  If they offer a shorter term or do not offer at all, the writing is on the wall.  Fox and the other networks will have a very good idea about the future landscape of basketball.  They will not pay for a second tier league.

KAT won the three-point contest at the 2022 All Star Game with the highest final-round score in the competition's history.
He's definitely a shooter.
I agree he is a shooter, but in terms of the NBA 3 point contest, the rules are much different now.
