Dick Vitale is not announcing for the game against Duke.  It was fun listening to him apologize for Duke the whole game last year and talk about how they were still going to have a great season.

wow.. when did that surgery happen?  I'm talking, of course, the one that separated Vitale's lips from the Duke rear to allow him to be someplace other than their team.

dicky v doesn't travel too much anymore.  whenever he appears on sportscenter or college gameday, he's linked in from home.  my guess is he couldn't handle the flight to hawaii...

Maybe someday I'll regret saying this - but shoot me when I can't suffer through a flight for an all expense paid trip to Maui  :-\
