1.  FriarTV.  Thank you for the stream!
2.  Sammy. He is so steady.
3.  AR. He is so needed, without M2N to play some point.  Nice game Andy.
4.  Jamal. The kid's gonna be good.
5.  GE.  The kid's electric.

Need to go at least 2-1 the next three.  Let's get another Saturday and hope M2N is back soon!  Go Warriors!

Hauser. He was heartless tonight. Carved up the Johnnies and made it look easy.

Rowdy. Poor shooting% but 8 assists and only 2 turnovers.  Had some great passes.

Greg. Was everywhere on defense. So much heart and soul.

Sam is obvious, but ...

Rowsey played the entire game except for that brief stretch in the 1H when Wojo tried to give him a quick breather before the 8:00 TV timeout. Greg (who otherwise played a good game) looked SO uncomfortable at the point, and we gave up an 8-0 run in about a minute ... and Wojo had to get Rowsey back in there.

Otherwise, loved everything the freshmen gave us, and Sacar and Matt did their jobs, too.

A superbly coached game, too, I might add.

1b - Friar.  even though this game is included in my basic cable package (yay GoogleFiber) your contribution is awesome
2 through 7 - everyone else on the team.  great job by all.

Side question... is Cain as tall as John?  i know he's listed 2" shorter but, unless it was the angle of the cameras, on TV he looked about the same.  If so, that kid is gonna be sick good

Toward the end of the game it looked like Greg's thumb was almost useless; bringing the ball up, he did a crossover move with just his right hand to get by a defender.
It's tough to play point guard with one hand.
Hard to believe the kid is as effective as he has been with that hand.

3. Andrew for making it happen through his assists. The more Andrew shows he can play point the more we win and the better chance someone takes a look at him after his MU days are over. Everyone knows he can shoot. He needs to show he is more than a single dimensional player.

Just looked at box score.
Dickey mentioned late in the broadcast (with the game getting out of reach) that Ponds was flirting with a triple double. Could have been a quadruple double if you included turnovers. Good job defensively by Sacar.

Also found it weird that both teams rolled with only 7 players. Can't say I remember seeing that in a while.

I certainly can see Sam for SOTG.  But the most important player was Rowsey.  For the very short periods he sat, we couldn't get into any semblance of offense at all.  I hope we are able to find a ball handling guard for next season.

This is another tough one - Sam hit so many key shots when MU needed them.  But Rowsey held everything together (and MU fell apart for the 2 minutes he was out).  Flip a coin, heads Sam, tails Roeysey - tails it is.

Did you flip the coin behind your back for the 8th assist?  16 in two games.  And then the 'maybe coach is right' smile.

Sam is now second on the team in assists with 78, good for 2.9 apg. That's ahead of Markus, Sacar or Greg. Against just 33 turnovers. He's significantly improved his passing, rebounding and defense this year, in addition to expanding his repertoire of shots.

That's the inherent conundrum of choosing a singular "Stud" within a team environment.  As has been pointed out on this thread, we won "because everyone did their job."  Which is certainly correct.  IMO, they were all studs and I'm really proud of their performance.  Still, my vote for the "studliest" goes to Sam.

My inside sources tell me that the Scoop Intelligencia have the final vote. They meet at Arby's after the festival and vote via secret ballot on used Beef n Cheddar wrappers.  A smear of Arby's Sauce for the Party candidate, Horsey for the People's choice. Crumpled up ballots are then counted and announced by Rocky, Scoop's Mullah Omar.

Why does it have to be a single stud?  Sometimes I wish they would be a little more creative with their SOTG winners.
Have some patience, FFS.

Didn't The Bat get a couple of SOTG votes a few years back?

Earlier, I said Sam was "obvious." But the more I've thought about it, the less obvious I think he was, and I'm totally fine with Rowsey for all the reasons folks have said (including what I said in my ridiculous post claiming Sam was obvious).

Rocky is probably quite relieved that I'm OK with his choice.

So they are like the electoral college.

All this talk of rights.  So little talk of responsibilities.

Interesting that Chick wants more than one stud.

Seriously, I like it when there's an argument over STOG. In the first place it means a W, and further, that multiple players chimed in.

What's the point of a SOTG thread if the (clearly) popular choice isn't selected? Both deserving but looked like it was 80% votes for Sam.

Theres a reason most countries don't choose off a popular vote. The majority is wrong a lot.
