Oregon has tons of talent. Hasn't put it together a lot.. but if they're on, they can be very very good.

This is 100% accurate. They’re deep with a lot of length. A number of very talented players but they have struggled to find their rhythm this year. Hoping they struggle to find it on Sunday.

I’m always curious on when we play power conference teams that we don’t play regularly...when was the last time MU played Oregon?

I’ve been trying to say Oregon is good, counter to the scoop intelligencia, I believe MU will win, can’t understand the UO hate

Nobody hates Oregon.  I'm with TAMU - they are a 3 seed in the NIT.  That's about where they should be.

Looks like never (just like Harvard).  We did have a home-and-home with Oregon St in 1989 and lost both, but never Oregon.

Thanks, had not seen this site before. I remember the Arizona and ASU home and home from a few years back, remember the loss to Stanford and the games against Washington recently, but not much else from the Pac 12. The failed home and home with Utah that never happened either.

For as long as MU has been playing basketball, it still surprises me to see how little we've played some power conference schools, especially Big 10 teams, over the years.

there has been one matchup with Oregon.

On January 4, 1928.
MU, riding a 4 game losing streak, powers to a 16-15 victory over the Oregon Webfoots.

Marquette spurred by the victory, wins 6 of 8 but a 6 game losing streak to end the season leaves them at 7-11 for the year.
Meanwhile Oregon finishes 18-3 with the loss to Marquette being their only non-conference loss.

In a non-confirmed sidenote, Bill Walton's great-grandfather, while broadcasting the game on radio, spent a large portion of the second half pontificating on how the Great Missoula Mudslide created the Willamette Valley.

The Pac 10 was weak this year, both ASU and UCLA lost in the play game, which just leaves Arizona in the fray.  They bought a really good
player, surprised it has been put under the carpet right now because the NCAA does not know how to handle the situation.  Oregon is good,
not great.  Big guards will cause some issues.  MU played horrible last night, who knows what team will show up for both teams.  Like to see
how they would play against the Domers.

Opportunity to put a quality win in the resume. I think the team will give max effort to beat Oregon.

I assumed you were going to claim to have been at the 1928 MU Oregon game.

He did stream it from The Milano, had hit some weird time portal and bumped into the game.
Goal is National Championship

Until Zona faced the Buffalo Bulls. Definitely a weak year for the Pac12

but the Pac12 is representing in the NIT with 5 teams left.

Maybe they should rename it to the PIT;  Pac12 Invitational Tournament.
