Would have demolished it, but MU missed 13 free throws.

Well, first... the record wasn't 108.

Second, our FT% was 63.9% and the free throw game for us was GREAT. Why would you point out 13 missed free throws? If we had shot like an average team, we would have TWO more points. Could have made just one more triple and bested that.

Then what is it?

I believe 118 against UW-Klotsche in 1969.

More recently, 114 against Grambling in Nov 2013.  Otule leading scorer with 17.  Steve Taylor next with 16.

^^^ true

Chris and Steve a combined 13/14 2FG in that 2013 game. 8 double-digit scorers, and Toddler with 8. Team only shot 5/18 3FG for 27.8% from 3. Such a bad shooting team.

We followed up the 114 point effort by scoring 35 in a loss to tOSU... and the season went down the crapper.

Time for the walk-ons.

Agree.  No reason to have any legit players on floor at this point..and reward those guys for the work they put in.  Come on Steve!

This is the one bad result I have seen because of the transition from RPI to NET as the primary metric for the selection committee. The NET takes efficiency numbers into account so every single possession matters.  I wanted the walk ons in with 4 or 5 minutes left with a game like this. Protects against injuries and rewards hard working kids. But if our lead shrunk from 50 to 35 over the last 5 minutes, it hurts our NET numbers and as silly as it sounds, could cost us a seed line at the end of the season. Since the NET became the primary metric, Wojo has waited until the other team pulled their starters before sending the walk ons in. If Central Arkansas ran their starters the whole game, I don't think the walk ons would have made it in.

I feel for the walk ons but Wojo keeping the foot on the gas is unfortunately the right strategy with the NET. I wish there was some way the coaches could come up with an agreement to pull the starters at the last media timeout if its a 25+ point blow out.

Don’t KenPom and T-rank have some sort of shut off when it gets into garbage time, meaning, it stops using the data when walk ones come in?

Not that I'm aware of and I definitely haven't heard of that for NET.

I wouldn't explain it exactly that way, but 'sort of' for T-Rank.
