Russian curler who won Olympic medal suspected of doping
« on: February 19, 2018, 12:47:40 PM »
The same drug that Maria Sharapova tested positive for, another Russian cheater (is "Russian Cheater" a redundant term?)

It is bad enough that few Russians allowed to compete are doing so as "OAR" (Olympic Athlete from Russia) now a freaking mixed double curler is cheating!

They are so corrupt that the entire delegation should be sent home.

Monday's announcement that Russian curler Alexander Krushelnitsky — the winner of a bronze medal last week with wife Anastasia Bryzgalova in the mixed-doubles competition — is suspected of doping after failing a preliminary drug test has sent shockwaves through a sport not commonly associated with scandal.

Curler Alexander Krushelnitskiy tested positive for traces of meldonium, a medicine that increases circulation in the brain and aids with heart failure and chest pain, The New York Times reported Sunday. The World Anti-Doping Agency decided to ban the substance in September 2015, stating that it is classified as a performance-enhancing drug. The ban came into effect in January the following year.

Doping for curling?  Wow.

Seriously though, I agree that all Russian athletes should have been banned.  This was soooo predictable.
