Title: McKay Family
Post by: theBabyDavid on November 15, 2018, 03:49:38 PM
So, I was in Waukesha for meetings with GE (and The Meat Summit) so I was able to hit the MU Spirit Shop.

Back today in Seattle, wearing a Marquette Swoosh hat, someone stops me on the street and says 7 nieces and nephews of his named McKay from Seattle all went to MU.

Anyone know them?

Did they know the hat was Marquette University and not Marquette, MI?

Pretty exclusive company you kept. Hard to choose a favorite there between GE and those enshired on Mt. Rushmore, hey?

This guy actually did know about MU.

Did they name a city in Michigan after MU?

The Tosa Meat Summit is right up there with Bismarck in the Hall of Mirrors, Hitler dancing at Compiegne, Truman telling off Stalin at Potsdam, and BO calming the shattered nerves of a racially divided nation over IPAs in the Rose Garden.

The momentous merge between marbled meat, mangled tee shots, and well made martinis.

The River Course at Blackwolf Run or Chambers Bay?

Chambers is a solid course. It had some really stupid characteristics that the PGA made them clean up prior to the US Open. And this winter they are addressing the green drainage.

If you guys are up for it the finest links courses outside of Scotland is at Bandon Dunes on the Oregon Coast. Four courses, excellent accommodation, and outstanding kitchens.

By the way, I got some PXG sticks recently. Irons, 3, and 5. I have been playing Ping irons and Callaway woods since I was a 2LT so this is a major change. I am keeping my Warbird driver and Vokey wedges.
