A couple of us are trying to make sure Marquette Hoops has some good coverage on Reddit. We've put in the first steps of a redesign and I'm looking for an opinion. If I've learned anything in my time here on Scoop, that's a product in high supply.

Would love any thoughts!

It works. And it's pretty.

That's two for two!

Convince me, the non-Reddit user, on why I should use it?

If you care about productivity, don't. Stay away.
Reddit's ability to have up/down-voting on both threads and the comments within those threads allow the best (or at least most interesting) stuff bubble to the top. We're also aggregating almost any news that comes in regarding MU; combining that with the ability of guests to rate the content makes it a good resource to keep up on the latest dirt.
In general terms, Reddit's main claim is the ability to subscribe to subreddits on just about any topic imaginable and have a customized homepage built with only the most interesting stuff from your interests.
It's just another place to visit when all the threads on Scoop are marked "read" :)

Not to mention, threaded comments, which I think are essentially the best implementation of a comments system on the web. Easier to keep sub-threads distinct, bury/ignore trolls, etc.

First thing I noticed: the chicken head up at the top.
