That statement kind of makes no sense, Noah fence. Thanks for the insider info though.

“Playing at the combine only really helps, rarely hurts”

“Koleks draft status wasn’t hurt by him not playing”

I get the sentiment, but if the first part is true then the second part can’t really be true.

If players are rarely hurt and only really helped by playing, then TyKo not playing at best didn’t make his status worse, but more than likely or at worst affected the improvement of his status, or in other words hurt his status.

Unless he’s going to the wolves in the top 15 to play the pick n roll with wemby, and his agent has a feeling or has been given the feeling that’s the case, then huh?

Damn things are really going well for Minny.

They got Ant. A chance at a title. Plus Wemby on his way and a top 15 pick??

As I have mentioned before, we will see how strong the economy is for many Americans in November. If I were Biden, I would not be touting the economy too hard.

Case in point

I dont think this means we are missing on our top targets at all.  There is a good chance we are going to sign 4 in this class, throwing one additional offer out there to kid putting up huge numbers in AAU isnt crazy.

Plus, we dont even know if the offer is actually committable right now.  This could very well be a plan B offer where we wont bring him in for an OV until all of our top targets have made decisions, this "offer" could be to keep the kid interested just in case.

The sharp red line up at the end is because the government gave people money + spending crashed during the pandemic (which fed the inflation when the spending restarted). In my opinion it’s kind of silly to feel good about this from a political standpoint.

Of course, a good amount of the inflation could have been avoided had Congress/the government acted in the best interests of is citizens

Is it an unmitigated disaster for Celtics fans?   What if you don't have a rooting interest and don't bet?     It was an exciting  game.

Shaka right now must think he is behind the eight ball on many of these recruits if he keeps on offering new offers or he sees a better kid then who he has offered already, it will be interesting for sure!

It seems like Shaka likes early offers and early commits.

Goes hand in hand with the culture aspect of his recruiting style.

You might be thinking well this is a late offer for a 25 kid… sure, but it’s an early offer for a 25 kid to an elite school.
Look at how quickly the recruitment moved for the 7 footer out of Texas.

If Shaka feels like he isn’t getting traction on the kids he made an early and long play on I feel like he moves on to someone he feels like wants to be a part of his Marquette culture.
For good or bad, seems to be a part of his schtick.

Don’t forget, he recruited TyKo, Omax and co for merely a few weeks, and kept Oso and Kam around by selling his vision for only few weeks.
He’s played the long game and lost a few times, and I don’t think he loves that too much anymore.
His long game is centered on keeping a kid inside the Marquette culture and inside his program after he commits

Talked to a friend who is a former NBA scout who was at the combine and asked about Kolek not playing. He said playing st the Combine only really helps players, it rarely hurts. His opinion was Kolek’s draft status wasn’t hurt by him not playing as scouts have seen him enough to know his game, he was a two time All American.

That statement kind of makes no sense, Noah fence. Thanks for the insider info though.
