Blue, Jones sign with MU
MU put the wraps -- for now -- on its two-man recruiting class after receiving signed pledges from both Vander Blue and Jamail Jones on Wednesday, the opening day of the NCAA's week-long early signing period.
Blue, of course, is the centerpiece of the Golden Eagles' efforts, a 6-foot-4, 185-pound combination guard from Madison Memorial who's regarded as the state's top prep player as well as one of the nation's best overall.
Blue, who orally committed to Wisconsin during his sophomore season but re-opened his recruiting in the spring, is ranked anywhere from 22nd to 35th among all players by various recruiting services, and is MU's highest-ranked prep recruit since the early 1980s.

"First time I met him (Jamail Jones), I thought he was Wesley Matthews -- the way he talked, how he looked, how he played." - Buzz Williams
If that comparison comes anywhere close to the type of player Jones becomes for Marquette, I will be ecstatic.

It appears Jones is going to a different school his senior year? This seems to be happening alot now, player jumping from school to school (or is it just the kids we are recruiting?) The alleged rapist was doing the same thing.

Probably for better competition and academics to get him ready. It's not a concern.
If I remember correctly he's coming in with a 1350 SAT and 3.0 while hoping to major in Pre-Med (or something like that. There was a nice write up about him posted somewhere on here when he first committed). Seems like a real smart, quality kid. Excited to have him coming to MU.
Editted: 1350 SAT and 3.0

Not that it matters, but 1350 on the old scale (out of 1600) or new scale (out of 2400)? If on the old scale, I'm certainly impressed.

No idea. Didn't know the scale moved from 1600 to 2400.
