Donnie Dobbs, H Walden, Scott Highmark and Erwin Claggett...Spoonball was good stuff.

The Great Midwest was a fantastic hoops conference and 1994 was its best vintage thanks in large part to "Spoon".

RIP.

Really? This had nothing to do with CBB, just the guy passing info along.

No need for the jackassery.

Spoon did a really nice job at SLU, really energized that program and filled the huge Savvis Center on MAny ocassions with the Clagget teams and with Larry Hughes.  Had the good fortune of attending the 1997 C-USA tournamnet when Mu put together a string of really impressive wins to take the title.

While Spoon was great at SLU, he was even better before that at Southwest Missouri State and created a real mi-d Major powerhouse for a number of years

I always liked watching those SW Missouri State teams.  Fun brand of basketball.  They beat MU in an NIT game one year back then, I believe.

Spoon was probably one of the best interviews I ever had at one of my old jobs.

EDIT: Love the googles still have a record of this... 15 years after the fact, though my writing is cringeworthy as a 24-year-old.

Enjoy, http://slam.canoe.ca/StatsBKC/BC-BKC-LGNS-SPOONFTR-R.html

I grew up going to Spoonhour coached Billiken games... fond memories of a great coach with a great sense of humor. I wish I had my foam Spoonball Spoon up here in MKE so I could put it up in memorium.

No.  New material would be good for you at some point.  Branch out a bit.
