I thought that was a turning point in our momentum, when the ref reversed a call on Stevie after he was elbowed to the ground!
-
Multiple times this year I've heard them say they can't reverse the call when doing a review. Either the refs have been wrong all year long, or that call was blown.
-
Cue Sultan to tell us it was the correct call
-
An asinine exception to the rule if the replay was indeed by the books.

Well, I think we did get a stop right after that but have never seen that before. If they are able to reverse a foul call on a review of a flagrant, why draw the line there with what they can change on a review?

Should have been a T on Burns for how he reacted. Completely turned the momentum of that half
-
I still don’t understand. I was at the game, they called a foul on Burns, they went to a time out and announced they were reviewing 5he call. Then they announced a foul on Stevie. How does that happen? You can’t change a foul call on review
-
They said they can review “around the cylinder” of burns. Like Stevie was intruding burns space or something idk
-
The initial call was a charge on Burns. They reviewed it for a possible flagrant. Upon review, it was determined that Stevie was in Burns cylinder. Call reversed.
Jokes: How big is Burns cylinder?
That was a call that Lions fans are used to.

My problem is that Driscoll is literally 2 feet from the play. If he can’t make the correct call the first time, he shouldn’t be reffing. Or let’s just go completely video refs.

I thought that's what they were reviewing at first. Usually tossing the ball at the cheerleaders like that is a T.

Watching at a bar where the sound was somewhat drowned out, I assumed it was a flagrant review for the viciousness with which Burns swung his elbow into Stevie quite intentionally.
I thought for the most part the referring was pretty good yesterday, mostly invisible. That one, however, incomprehensible.

According to the rule book, if you are looking at a foul to determine if it’s a flagrant, and it is determined that no flagrant occurred, refs can penalize additional common fouls on either team.
However, they can’t determine that another violation took place, like a travel.
