We still need more active rebounding. Tech is big, but our guys still ball watch too much on missed shots.

This.  Was hoping they would have been lectured more about this after two games blown from ball watching (one a loss the other a win).

Have never seen any big man miss as many bunnies as STJr. I know, he's playing against big big men and might be a little paranoid about the block, but come on. I know he saw almost no time last year, and this year is early, but I have the fear that JJJ will not pan out.

Yeah it's incredible. The whole gophers front line did that yesterday vs St.Johns.

But this is the norm for Steve. It sucks because he gets himself good opportunities. He just can't finish. That's the frustrating part.

It was better with Juan in game. Again, never thought it would come to this but Juan is pretty crucial now even with dumb TOs and bad fts.
Juan rebounds well, it's just the lack of effort elsewhere that gets me. Steve isn't even trying if he doesn't think he'll get a put back. Carlino got a couple defensive boards but it seems like no one other than Juan is going for rebounds that don't come right to them.

Don't give up just yet. In spite of major flaws we are still in this game. If STJ can settle down and if Carlino sits or starts player as a team leader, rather than a lead chucker, we can win this.

They were both pretty ugly, but at least he made a ft! Maybe he should try granny shots from the ft line?

Agreed but I'll give him credit for finding Juan there. Not a tough play but one you gotta make, and he did.

Yay, an angel got its wings! If there is anything about Derrick's game I like it's when he takes the ball hard to the basket. Just wish he could shoot better from the stripe.

Yeah he's got some nice drives they are just few and far between and as you said can't mKe free throws.

Adds to the foul count though.

Classic Jajuan. I really hope he gets better at that as he learns the defense.

Gosh we just go on too many dry spells.

Lack of shooting is obvious but a lot is because we just do dumb things. Charge, turnover, dumb shot.

Just play smarter.

For those keeping score at home, Carlino's career high is 35.
